This is old Florida at its finest. Beautiful sandy beach and never too crowded. Best to walk away from public beaches for best experience.

Not too crowded for a Saturday. Plenty of free parking. Take a shell bag and a sieve for all the cool shells and fossilized shark teeth you are gonna find. Facilities are clean and lifeguard Shack gives plenty of info on water dangers for the day. We will be back!

We were considering Siesta Key beach because of the sand but after hearing all the woes about parking we settled for something much closer in Englewood. We went to Stump Pass Beach earlier in the week and loved it (we got lucky and didn't have to wait for parking) but wanted to try something different. Manasota Key Beach was our choice and glad we visited it!

Plenty of beach so we weren't too crowded. The sand was HOT so wear sandals from parking lot to beach (which isn't far at all). There are nice shower and foot rinse stations and bathroom facilities at the entrance.

We found a variety of sea shells and numerous shark teeth on the beach without any equipment. Back a lunch and stay the afternoon. This same beach as a beautiful sunset around 8:30PM in the Summer.

This beach is not a typical beach. The sand is course and the shells are full of little sharks teeth. They are fossilized teeth that are typically black from the fossilization. It is a beautiful beach with clear water. My family has been to this beach a couple years now, because we love looking for sharks teeth. It's a great time for everyone.

Although I prefer Englewood Beach, Manasota beach has it's own charm also. During "Season" it is not as crowed & has plenty of parking. Any beach on the Key is a great place to be!!
