My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Everglades, and we felt this hotel made us feel as though we were back in the 1960's visiting old Florida. The rooms are very basic. The good: clean, two comfortable double beds, fine water pressure, a/c worked., mini refrigerator. Plenty of parking and boat launch. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice. The not so good: no chair to sit in the room, Wi-Fi does not work on the second floor, no continental breakfast and pricey for what you get. We paid $136 (including taxes) for the night with no balcony. We know this is a tourist spot with a limited season, but we still think that's pricier for many nicer options we had traveling along the coast, but at least better value than Sanibel area for example. Note they have discount coupons to eat at Triads, a great outdoors restaurant on the water.

What an absolutely gorgeous part of the country. Basic amenities but fabulously clean. Denise and her family have worked like Trojans to get the place shipshape and what a great job they've done. The view from the swimming pool is worth the price of the room alone. I wouldn't hesitate to visit The Everglades again and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Captains table

Room was a nice size, basic furnishings but a comfortable bed. Towels were threadbare, and we had to get our additional one at the front desk on the second night of our stay. No coffeemaker was available in the room which meant that we had to go out to get some. Also wifi was not available in the rooms. Screened in porch was nice to sit in the evenings without getting bitten by bugs.

I would rate The Everglades as one of the most beautiful and peaceful places on earth. Everyone is so friendly and proud of their area, quite rightly so. Please put this area on your list of places to go to. Denise and her family have worked hard to make this hotel work. Its clean, tidy and great value for money. Fabulous just fabulous....I'll never forget my trip to this extraordinary spot...x

We have stayed several times at The Captains Table and never experienced any problems. The rooms are always clean and the beds comfortable. They have a wide variety of accommodations for all types of travelers. I asked to be upgraded to a larger room on the first floor due to a knee injury and the manager agree and still gave me the 30% off "Managers Special" I have always been treated with respect and feel very comfortable there. The pool is large and always clean. Plenty of parking areas. We will definitely be back!
