Having heard Parson’s served old fashion BBQ and reading reviews, we decided to try it. Entering into the cafeteria style restaurant be prepared to use cash although there is an ATM on premise.
The people at Parson’s know good service and are willing to explain the options. We had the small pulled pork sandwich that was loaded with moist, tender pork. Plus an order of all you can eat ribs, a Saturday special. The ribs started with 5 bid tender bones. The next set were much smaller and dryer. The last set were like the first.when we inquired we were told the second round were from the thin end. Parsons hand cuts their ribs so size and thickness vary.
The sides were black beans and rice, the sweet potato casserole which were an up charge and potato salad. These were all generous portions.
We were given the tips to taste and they were great, but these are not always available.
We did not leave hungry, enjoyed the southern hospitality/ the cooking and the home made BBQ sauces. Definitely we will return..
