Let's start with some positives... located close to elevator and trash shoot (no noise no odor). Kitchen stocked! Short of a pampered chef veggie spiralizer (who needs it anyway!) it was very well equipped. Washer/dryer worked well and washer tub was standard size...not small apartment type. Good water pressure in showers. We had a couple maintenance issues first day; one tub wouldn't drain and one toilet was loose. Both were fixed within 24 hrs. Unfortunately it kept one of us in the condo for a 2 hr period waiting for the plumber. Said we didn't need to be present but I'm not that trusting. If you don't like monkeys this is not the place for you! It is the decor theme in every room. We did find one bathroom full of mold and dirty.....accumulated dust on door slats and various areas....glass stove top with burned krud on 2 burners (The cleaner was under sink and I cleaned it). The glass sliding door tracks were disgustingly dirty and made opening closing difficult. I reported it first day. They were very apologetic and offered to send someone to reclean....we declined since we totaled 9 and didn't want to be disrupted during our stay. Upholstered furniture and bedding accessories worn and there were feathers everywhere due to old feather throw pillows in livingroom. Queen bed mattress needs replaced!! Terribly worn out and uncomfortable. Two wooden framed/canvas beach chairs and 1 umbrella with the room... additional sets cost $150 for the week. Beach area gorgeous...clean..volleyball net there...paddle boards and kayaks available for reasonable rental rates right there. Pools very clean. The beach view balcony had 2 stools and 5 or 6 director chairs with narrow tables along railing.....take the seat by the slider and you are the designated bar tender cause it is tight but top floor views spectacular! Access to 4 floor parking garage on ground and 3rd floor only. Bunk beds are in the entryway hall. Plenty of carts in parking lot to transport luggage etc. Publix grocery a couple miles away. Flatscreen TV in LR and ea BR. I'm hopeful the property managers/ owner will rectify the few issues we reported. Also..if you need a beach photographer...call John at Personal Touch! Fantastic service, quality, professionalism and reasonably priced!
Outstanding stay. Our family so enjoyed the panoramic views and the sounds of the gulf from our stools by the bar on the back patio.
Very much appreciated the accommodative kitchen, extras, and the large appliances. My son used the blender to make his protein drinks. My husband went to open a beer and realized he forgot his bottle opener and voila - one was found in the utensil drawer. Just sayin.....it's the little things! The kitchen and its many offerings did NOT disappoint.
The ceilings fans in ALL bedrooms was a big plus for our family and we do not take things like that for granted when we vacation. A big thank you!
Oh Yeah, we noticed the real feather pillows in the living room - NICE TOUCH!
All in all, a very comfortable stay and a great family vacation at Fort Walton Beach!
