This is the 2nd Margaritaville resort we have visited with extended family and loved it. There was lots to do at this location for kids and adults, decor was luxurious, facility immaculately clean, nice variety of food options, location is great and boardwalk was nice to have nearby for activities. You can relax and listen to live music, swim or soak up sun on the beach in their complementary beach chairs or walk, run, bike or exercise on the boardwalk. There are several inexpensive beach shops nearby to pick up toys and games to play with at the beach. Not 1 complaint while we were there!

Had nice ocean view room looking over 11th floor adults only pool area. Room is very nice and has everything you need. Bedding could be improved, but a minor criticism. Staff is very friendly and the guests all seemed to be happy. Having the water taxi stop right across the street makes it easy to go to Ft Launderdale or North Miami.

Room tip: 12th floor was okay to see the ocean, but if want to see the ocean and the beach go higher than 12th, like maybe 15th or so.

The restaurant was slow and the food was average. Our waitress was friendly but wasn't efficient in anything except handing us the bill. Longest time waiting for drinks/food ever. The fish tacos were mediocre and the beans/rice were cold. The only good thing was the drinks, which is to be expected from Margaritaville.

We went with another couple so we had a total of 3 kids ages 5-8. From the time we walked in to the hotel they were all smiles and we immediately took a picture in front of the gian flip flop! Check in was quick despite the long line and there was someone handing out cold bottles of water while we waited which was a nice touch. One of our rooms wasn't ready as we arrived a tad before the 4PM check in, but it was ready within a few minutes. The rooms vary a bit in color...we had one with a turquoise wall which the kids thought was a nicer room even though both were quite similar. They do not have a pull out sofa in the room so if you get a King bed you'll have to request a roll away bed since we needed a spot for our 7 year old to sleep. The roll away was promptly delivered. Our friends had two queen beds so their room seemed a bit more cramped. The toiletries were nice quality so you don't have to bring your own...we ran out of shampoo, called housekeeping, and they were there within minutes with a giant bag of toiletries not just the shampoo that we requested. The balcony is quite spacious and views the ocean...we were on the side of the hotel (room 1705) that had a parking lot to ocean view...the rooms on the other side have a resort to ocean view. We didn't have any issues with noise from the neighbors which was great. The elevator are a bit slow on busy days so don't get in a hurry. There is a vending machine and ice machine on each floor which worked well for us as we like a morning Diet Coke...there's also coffee and tea in the room. The downstairs bakery stays really busy, but lines move quickly. They have cereal, muffins, sandwiches, coffee; etc all at really reasonable prices. The Boardwalk is right at the hotel so there are tons of restaurants right there if you prefer to venture out for food, snacks, sundries; etc. All of the nearby Boardwalk restaurants seem to be priced really low...HUGE sandwiches for $8, slice of pizza $2.75, full breakfast for $6.95; etc. With that said, the priciest item was our hotel room! :-) The pool never seemed too crowded and the kids enjoyed the slide and waterfall...the pool staff didn't seem to start working the pool area until around 11AM and there weren't many so we often went to the bar to get our drinks. We split our days between the beach which was easily accessible and the pool. We found it easy to get lawn chairs with umbrellas on the beach. There's also a cute food truck that opens around 11AM and stays open late just outside the gate near the big stage(this stage has music every night on the weekends and was fun to watch/listen) that has Bratwurst, Hot Dogs, Beer; etc. all super inexpensive! We rented a surrey right by the hotel and packed all 7 of us on it on Sunday and rode down to the AWESOME farmers market (fruit, veggies, nuts and more) which is there very Sunday rain or shine. I wouldn't recommend 7 people as it's a lot of work to pedal, but we had fun! :-) Lastly, we rented a car which we NEVER should have done since everything was walkable and I think we paid $35 a night for parking. Again, I can't say enough good things about our trip and would HIGHLY recommend!

Room tip: Odd numbers 1705, 1611 view parking lot to beach...go with even for resort to beach.

This is a great place to come with your family. Its also a great place for a romantic getaway. Margaritaville has a lot to offer with different dining, live music on the weekends and great food and drinks. Great access to the beach and the boardwalk is a great for people watching. Would recommend to friends or family for any kind of getaway.

Room tip: Save some money and get the ocean view. We had a great view of the ocean and the intracoastal,
