I felt that for the money, the room was mediocre. It was rather small and not a lot of room to move around in. The screened in porch was very nice, although neighboring occupants to adjorning rooms could be distracting while in their screening in/shared area. There was a disclaimer about ants/bugs in the room and claimed that being a tropical area, it is to be expected. I've gone on multiple tropical vacations and feel this is an excuse for not wishing to address the ant issues. Place some ant poisiong and the problem is taken care of. The value for the money was not a good one. I don't feel it was worth $200+ per evening.

I booked this off of the reviews of trip advisor. The reviews were very good about the property. This was our first visit to Key Largo. The property is on the bay side right on the water. We stayed in room number 7. When we first arrived we were assigned to room number 4 I believe. It was located right behind the pool so the pool and the chain link fence surrounding the pool really did block the view of the water and beach area. We came for the beaches and water and not the pool. I went to the office before we could even unpack one item to check and see if there were any other rooms available that did not open right into the pool area. Fortunately, there was an available room farther down that was located with beachfront and not pool front scenery. It was perfect and the staff was very good to let us move. The rooms were very comfortable. On the small side but still very nice. Who needs a big room when you came to see the beach! Very comfortable bed, nice linens, nice flat screen TV. The beachfront is very clean and has a really nice pier that you can walk down, sit, fish or just watch the sunset. The room also has a lovely screen in porch that we really enjoyed also. It is a nice extension of the room. A bonus, so to speak. The property itself very nice but there are a few things that could make a difference. There are many lights on the trees, decks etc but none of them were ever on. It would have been a nice ambiance for them to be on in the evenings. Not sure why they are not utilized. There is a nice refrigerator in the room and a coffee pot but only a couple of paper cups for coffee. There was no glasswear of any kind in the room. I did go ask at the office and the staff did loan us glasses for cocktails. They also have wine glasses available. It would be better for it to be more accessible. The closet is very small and the few hangers that are on the hanging rod cannot be removed. It is a bit difficult to hang clothes with a hanger attached to a rod. Particularly since there isn't a convenient place to store your suitecase. It would also be nice if there were a TV Channel lineup list in each room. Not a big deal but better than surfing around trying to locate something to watch. Overall we had a very nice time and it is a lovely quiet place to relax and kickback. The breakfast is very very basic but there is nice hot coffee and that is a great start with a beach and a beach chair in the morning!

Room Tip: The pool with chain link fence does block the view of the water and beach. Ask for a room on the south end of the property

My wife and I just completyed a 5 night stay at the Coconut Palm Inn. A great launching spot for our exloraton of the Florida Keys. The Inn's staff was courteous and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small. The screened porch was a wonderful spot to read and relax. The beach, pool, and dock areas are very, very nice with wonderful views of the sunset. We toured the bay area near the Inn with kayaks provide.

A bit more variety in the continental breakfast would be good, and a wine and cheese at sunset evenining would be a great boost to the experience.

A good value compared to other Keys location, we will keep the Inn on our list for future trips to the Keys.

We just spent 3 delightful days at the Coconut Palm Inn. Large room with screened in patio facing the palm trees and Bay. Private beach, dock, kayaking and barbecues. Very quiet with peaceful pool area. The kind of place you go for a night and stay a week.
The staff was helpful and was able to extend our stay. Wonderful restaurant recommendations. We ate lunch at the Tasters nearby 3 days in a row.
I will definitely go back. For kids or big people.

Room Tip: Numbers 5 and 6

Had a fabulous stay here just after new year and were upgraded to a 1 bedroom appartment on the first floor. So quiet and peaceful we could have stayed forever. Lots of wonderful local advice on great places to eat within walking distance that really made our stay.
