Stayed here for two nights in late March. The hotel was a short drive from the Duval street hustle and bustle. We stayed in an Ocean View room that indeed had a beautiful view of the ocean and the seawall across the street. No beach but still a great view with a nice balcony. Continential breakfast was included and really good! Room itself had plush beds, huge flat screen tv and furnishing and such was new and tasteful. Pool area with bar looked nice too. Note- hotel is beside the airport but this didnt bother us at all. Couldnt hear it inside and even sipping beers in the balcony it was no bother. Great stay at a nice hotel.

Large rooms and very clean. Pool area was nice although didn't seem like it was heated the day we swam. Quick cab ride to duval street - be aware that its a flat rate of $4.50 per person from the area (key west is divided into "zones"). Would stay here again!

We spent 2 nights here. The pool area is beautiful, the screened porches are a very nice touch, and I thought the breakfast was excellent. The location is about 10-15 minute drive from the fun part of key west, so if you drive you'll have to pay to park downtown. But the big water just across the busy street from the motel is nice.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to visit Key West and not stay right in the downtown area. We wanted a place with a pool, a place to do your laundry, breakfast included and a snack bar. Best Western Key Ambassador fit the bill exactly.

We were between cruises out of Miami, and decided to book a few days in Key West. I'm happy we read the reviews and chose this hotel. It isn't too far from downtown, however, you'll need to take the shuttle, a bus, or drive, its too far to walk. Our room was very clean and large with two queen beds and a large flat screen tv. We even had a small screened in balcony we sat on occasionally. No view, except for trees covering the next door apt building.

The laundry was near the office, I forget the cost, not expensive. You can also buy detergent at the front desk.

The pool is large and free form. Perfect for an evening swim after a hot day walking around Key West. At the pool area, is the Cheekie Hut, where you can get cocktails and food. It closes early, no dinner, just lunch and snacks. There are TV's at the bar to watch sports if you like, or you can sit by the pool, drink in hand and enjoy a swim. The people who work here are very friendly and drinks are very good. I did two loads of laundry and spent my waiting time at Cheekies.

Breakfast was continental, including hard boiled eggs, fruit, all kinds of toast, jams, butter, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices. Perfect! It's served in a nice little breakfast area, which was in the building where we were staying. A simple walk down the stairs and there we were!

We drove into town during the day and had no trouble finding street parking. Be sure to pay in the machines! We walked all over and saw beautiful homes, shops, bars, restaurants, museums, and of course had lunch with Conch fritters as a starter and Key Lime pie for dessert.

We were happy to return to the Best Western Key for a swim, drink and relaxation each day.
The planes didn't bother us, and no planes at night.

It's away from Duval but close to a beach. The rooms are clean but desparately need an update. Sunrise on the seawall is VERY GOOD. I got some nice photos.

We enjoyed relaxing here after days in the busier parts of Key West. Room was large, well-appointed, and clean. There was a screened balcony overlooking the pool with a view of the ocean. Pool area was large and good for lounging. Ocean and a sidewalk were across the street. Breakfasts were more than adequate. A couple of restaurants were within walking distance. Airplane noise didn't bother us that much; and didn't hear planes at night. Pricey, but less so than many lesser places in Key West. (No elevators if that's important to you.)

Room Tip: Pool and ocean views were a bonus, if the price is right for you.

We arrived in Key West with no reservations to find a run taking place.

We arrived at the Best Western and the only room they had left was the apartment the owner uses when they are in town.

What a find 2 bedrooms, kitchen living room and a full size balcony overlooking the ocean.

The hotel was clean and the pool was great. The only area that needs looking at is where you take breakfast which is very small for the number of rooms. The choice of items was OK .

A bit procey but that was our fault for not booking ahead. Would certainly stay here again
