We were thrilled by our stay at this lovely B&B in a historic Key West House. The welcome was out of this world (great tips on what to do and see here, very friendly staff...), the location GREAT and quiet at the same time. Free parking in the street (assuming you park in the right direction and not in a "resident's" spot :-) ). Nicely appointed rooms, lovely breakfast in gardens, etc. All in all a great stay and highly recommended (AND good value foir money to boot!).

Room Tip: Maybe choose an off-street room.

I did so much research before booking our stay--do I want near the bight, middle of island or the southern area? Price was important but the reviews are what I mostly based my decision on. I read back about 2 years worth and had a great feel for the property. The pictures all looked great and knowing it was a old house not a hotel/resort feel I pretty much felt I knew what to expect. When we arrived late afternoon and were greated happily by Liz I felt like I had come HOME. She took us to our room on the third floor, front rm to get settled and then she said in her cheery voice, Come on back down when ready and I will give you a tour of the place. We could barely drop our bags quick enough, I wanted to explore around the house. It was everything + more than what I anticipated. Our room was so fresh and clean looking, sparcely tastefully furnished, which I like, I am not really into antiques and nic knacks. Beautiful red leather chairs with a long low bench/table below an arched 5 foot window with shutters that overlooked quiet quaint William st. 2 short blocks to the bight. Crisp looking white linens on the bed and the towels smelled heavenly. Lovely mexican red/orange tile on the floors throughout and a soft oriental style rug on the floor. Ahhhh-this is vacation!. We hurridly went downstairs in anticipation of our house tour. Liz showed us the inviting kitchen with bright tiles overlooking the back garden where there were orchids hanging in the trees, quite a few small table with chairs to read or enjoy breakfast and a soaking/jacuzzi pool(relatively very small but adequate) a bit too cool for my taste but it was a bit windy while there so that didn't help. There is also a sauna outside(we didn't use) and a shower to rinse off under along with towel to take to the beach and beach chairs and a beach mat. A new fountain had just been delivered and Liz hoped it would be on and running the next day. In the kitchen she had just taken out of the over our breakfast treat for the next morning--mango bread which will be topped with a lemon glaze. Yummm, smelled heavenly. There was also a water cooler provided so that we could fill up our water bottles as needed and a refridgerator to get ice and put in leftovers or drinks if we needed to. That was a wonderful touch. We then sat in the living room area--sinking down into modern comfy sofa's to go over a map of the island and she asked what we hoped to do and she gave nice input and directions. Lovely artwork through out the home, felt completely comfortable here. Need to take note, there is no tv on the premises--for me that was wonderful, for others it may be missed. so this could be perceived as a con when looking at this property. Breakfast is served at 8:30 to 10:30(if you are an early riser this may pose a problem, however do walk down william st to find the Cuban Coffee Queen stand and have a delicious cup of cafe con leche and a cuban breakfast sandwich--especially if you need some protein in the morning, then come back and have some fruit and enjoy the company of the other guests) and is a fresh baked item along with bagels, toast, quite a large variety of fresh fruit displayed perfectly. Coffee pots were always filled and the best part for me oranges and a citris "squeezer" to sqeeze a very large cup of OJ each morning. We enjoyed the other couples there , sharing stories over breakfast about place to go and where they liked to eat. Lynn is there in the morning to assist with anything needed and the housekeeper is extremely busy keeping everything clean and tidy. Our room was always cleaned up with fresh towels and bed made by the time we finished breakfast each morning. What a hard worker all these gals are. Only met Trish and Jody(along with dog Goo) once during our short stay and they were delightful to talk with also. You can tell they love what they do and are here to help in any way, without being overly in your face. Great big hugs to all of you, you do your "job" so very well--great customer service. We only had 4 nights to stay in KW this trip and I wanted close proximity to the bight. We wanted to be able to enjoy the happy hours and the harbor area--this was a lovely 2 block stroll up william st. So very nice and close. We hope to return again next April and secure a room again here at the Popular House.

Room Tip: We heard no noise from other rooms. Our room had a private bath, 4 rooms on second floor share 2 baths. there are 10 rooms in all.

We've stayed at B & B's throughout the country. KWB&B ranks among the best. It all starts with people and their attitude. Jody, the owner, has assembled a team of pros at every position. The magnificent old home is immaculately clean. From your comfortable room to the common areas--peace, calm, and tranquility are in the air. You can't help but relax and enjoy the tasteful tropical surroundings. We found our fellow guests to be bright and interesting. We had a blast. You will too.

Just got back from a 5 night stay at this lovely B&B. The entire staff was friendly and made you feel right at home. We stayed in one of the rooms with a shared bath, which was never a problem. The housekeeper was always cleaning, the rooms house and all the baths were clean. I would defiantly recommend staying here. The breakfast was delicious and the rates were affordable. Wil be back in October and can't wait!!!

We were pleased with our stay. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and offered loads of good local information. The entire staff is great..Our room was on the first floor front and although on the street side was quiet and air conditioned nicely..Breakfast was luscious fresh fruit, home baked goodies and great bagels. We found our whole experience here friendly, comfortable and part of the Key West experience..Do yourself a favor and ask when you make reservations on advise on where to park your car. We could not locate parking on the street and had to park in the city garage at $13.00 per day. Good garage and not far but maybe you can get tips on how to avoid the extra expense. We hope to return......

Room Tip: This B & B does not have private baths for all rooms. If this is important ask for it.....
