This is a resort that is different from almost all others - it’s more like renting a beach house in a meticulously landscaped garden. It’s the perfect place to go and get away from everything. While there are other guests, you rarely see or hear them. I mostly had a long white sand beach dotted with palm trees to myself. I heard just the sounds of birds and the palm fronds blowing in the wind. There are kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, a pool, and tennis courts for activity at your leisure, but you are left entirely to your own devices to sit in one of the many hammocks dotting the beach.

The cottage was bright and fresh and very cute, albeit on the smaller side. A new Publix is about 2 miles down the road, so it’s easy to get provisions - the only drawback in my cabin was that there wasn’t an oven, just a stovetop and microwave. There was a nice cheese and fruit plate waiting for me in the fridge along with coffee, creamers, and sweeteners. Overall, it was a great, relaxing experience.

There are just a few key drawbacks: 1) Cheeca Lodge is next door, and the music they play at night is audible, mostly on the north edge of the property; 2) the water isn’t tropical blue along this stretch, it’s more like the typical Atlantic; and 3) there is a ton of seaweed in the water and beach; one day a worker was out early clearing some, but he maybe tackled 25 yards of it; when the tide goes out, you have several think inches of stinky seaweed lining the length of the shore as much as 15 feet or so from the beach out to the water; when the tide is in, the same seaweed is there, meaning this isn’t a swimming beach; and this seaweed really smells rank.

Absolutely gorgeous! The grounds are stunning. The pictures don't really capture how pretty it really is. Not a place we could afford to go regularly, but for special occasions, it is at the top of our list. Definitely plan on coming back at some point. The only minor "complaint", was the smell of the seaweed; it was bit overpowering at times, but obviously that is just nature, no fault of the place. I would recommend the Orchid room for couples. It is in the low to mid-range pricing point (relatively speaking of course), but worth the jump up from the Lodge, if you want a little more space. We loved every minute of the trip!

I have never vacationed at such a magical place. Once you enter the property Your stresses all disappear. The cottages are super cute, comfortable and with every convenience you will need. The beach was serene and you only hear the wind whispering through the palm trees. It was very difficult to leave and I hope to return again one day!

We came here as a family and the place is so quiet and calm you can’t help but relax.

The welcome was great. James took us to our cottage and had a plate of fruits and cheeses waiting. We rented a two bedroom cottage by the pool and enjoyed it greatly.

We managed to kayak and Paddleboard every day without problems. Someone asked if they allowed nude sunbathing and yes they do. Our neighbor was 100% nude on the lounge chairs and no one called to make a fuss nor did they say to cover up.

But this is the vibe here. Mind your business and do your thing. No loud music and just enjoy yourself. Location is perfect. We chartered a fishing boat walking distance and jet ski rentals are a short bike ride away. Many restaurants along the area.

A ticket to paradise, however it is expensive. If you can afford 1000.09 a night. I found a special for 400.00 for a one bedroom villa. The grounds and pool are are gorgeous but the icing on the cake is the beach. In my opinion, the most beautiful beach in the Florida Keys. You also can go out and enjoy the restaurants in the area.
