My husband and I come down here often to Islamorada and this was our first visit at Pelican Cove. the minute we checked in Lydia was awesome. She gave us some great recommendations for things to do and had an awesome personality. our room was clean and you could tell they take care of them. we will definitely be back to stay here!!!!!!

We had a fabulous time at Pelican Cove. Fred took great care of us at the resort, and told us some great stories about life as a local. Angela, the bar manager makes a great Bloody Mary. And bartender Gayle truly made us feel at home (while serving fantastic double margaritas)!

The rooms are a tad small, but clean and inviting. The resort activities and facilities are great and a lot of fun.

All good!

Special kudos to Lydia, Front Desk Manager, (if she is not, she SHOULD be!) and Gail at the food/drink bar. Both of these people "get" customer service; both are knowledgeable about the local area, and both take the time to inform their guests of the area's available restaurants, things to "do;"—all the while maintaining a friendly, welcoming attitude.

Also, Fred, who helped us with beach activities, (kayaks, etc.) was way past friendly and helpful with local area information on points of interest and best eateries.

Overall, a GREAT three day Christmas respite!!

From Toronto, we searched and received a great deal/price for our pre-Xmas week vacation at the resort. The place had a great pool, beach area and great sports/leisure unit run by Fred. Fred was great with our kids, running around and ensuring all were in their kayaks and paddle boats, life jackets on and on their way. Fred was more than a great host helping all the guests and ensuring everyone was having a great time. Thanks Fred. Our room was good, ocean view, double bed room with pull out couch. Small fridge so bring a cooler if you need to keep stuff cold. Breakfast was ok, sparce but enough to get the day going. Location was very good, central to everything...we will come back.

I live in key west and my wife and I decided to take a little getaway for a couple days up the keys to escape before the Christmas rush comes in. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The balcony to the room was amazing with beautiful views of the ocean. The room was very clean and super soft beds!! We didn't plan to do many activities, just wanted to be alone and relax and enjoy our time together. Being locals we of course found the bar the first morning we were there. The bloody Mary's were amazing although I don't know if you can call 9 bucks a "special". Pretty pricy for a bloody, at a normal price, but to put it on a board with mimosas as 9 dollar specials makes me wonder what's the non special price? The bartender Angela made them perfect so I was a happy camper! She was very nice and accommodating our whole trip and we enjoyed her service and conversation! Also a shout out to Adrian for being around to help if Angela was in the back! She was very polite right off the bat and tried to help us even if she couldn't! She had a warm personality, You ladies rock! We would have seen more of you but we found a tiny bar near the charter boat area that had 7 dollar tequila shots bigger than the 13 dollar ones we paid at the resort...We were able to take the bikes out one day which was nice and the resort had A lot of activities and amenities to choose from which I thought was awesome! Water trampoline, paddle boats, kayaks and paddle boards, volleyballs and such, snorkeling, cornhole which we took advantage of our last day, and much more! Was nice to have access to all that without leaving the resort because we don't have anything like that in key west, everything is all separate. We never left the hotel except to eat! We did go check out their sister location next door at Postcard inn which you also have access to. But being that there's only 63 rooms we never ran into the problem of having to wait for someone to be done with equipment...was very little people we saw which was exactly what we wanted! The only other thing I'd mention is to maybe make sure there's water in the vending machines stocked as it always hot in the keys. People come on vacation and drink margaritas and then wake up in middle of the night dying for water only to realize the machine doesn't take 5's and both side of water were out as was the ice machine so there was no place to quench that alcohol induced water thirst..But overall we really loved our getaway at pelican cove and def plan to come back!!
