Nice set up aknd friendly happy hour staff that enjoyed chatting with customers. Didn't order food but what I saw looked good. Although on the way in some complaints were heard about poor wait staff I did not see this at the bar.

Thank Kevin P

Four of us ate at Lazy Days South during our stay in Marathon this December.

We had a new server, and he was very nice and tried hard. With good humor he went back into the kitchen multiple times to get answers to questions we posed. With experience, he will be good at his job.

Two of our group ordered linguini with shrimp. The shrimp in their dishes were plentiful but the linguini was actually spaghetti and the sauce needed additional seasoning (garlic). I ordered chicken florentine. It was decent; the spinach tasted fresh, but the sauce needed additional seasoning. The very good news is this white sauce did not suffer from an over dose of cornstarch and the chef was judicious in his use of salt in his cooking.

Lazy Days South offers good value. It is solid food at fair prices, not always a combination you find in the Keys which is why we eat her on each of our yearly visits.

Bring your freshly caught fish here. You can have it prepared up to 6 ways. We had it cooked blackened, coconut and lazy days smile. Our group loved the coconut and lazy days the best. They were all delicious. You also have a choice of salad or soup and sides. The breads they serve are also very good. The view on the water is great too!

We caught some fish and wanted it cooked, for $15 bucks a person this place does it! They made the fish great! It wasn't the typical 3 options (blackened, fried or grilled); they had a jalapeño style that was awesome! Their blackened style was also good!
They also have great key lime pie!

Portions are large. My husband and I shared the fish of the day, Lazy Days style. Banana bread with dinner is top notch. Had the xango for dessert and loved it. The view is great. Service is good. Prices are fair. They are happy to split an entree for two people for $1.99 and bring you an extra side along with it. I love this place.
