Solid seafood fare offered at a small family run establishment. I had fried grouper fingers, conch fritters and fried shrimp. They must not have had the oil quite hot enough because the fried offerings were a little greasy. Of course, they all tasted great, but my low fat tolerance made me pay a bit later that night. The cole slaw and conch chowder were fabulous and the Key Lime pie was well above average. The pie was served just a tad warmer that frozen as in very cold without ice crystals - so very refreshing.

If you are looking for a restaurant that has delicious, fresh but inexpensive food.. Fish Tales is your place! Conch fritters were very good and in sharp contrast to another much more expensive restaurant in Marathon.

I had grilled swordfish, potato salad and coleslaw. All excellent! My husband was very happy with fried shrimp.

It is a “mom and pop” place which added to the charm. Our server was friendly and very attentive. We recommend it without reservation.

Excellent food hidden inside an older building and fish market. We ate here twice in 3 days because it was simple, clean, good food. The Key Lime pie was the best we’d had in the Keys.

This is a no frills seafood market where you can order fresh seafood cooked to order.
The seafood we had was delicious. We ordered the snapper Rockefeller, fried grouper and steamed clams. All were well prepared, inexpensive and delicious.

I probably would not go here for a romantic evening out - but if you are hungry for seafood this place will not disappoint.

Stayed in Marathon a few days and followed the good reviews on TripAdvisor. The place, like most in this area, looks a little worn from the recent hurricanes. But food is delicious! Casual atmosphere. Soups and fish cooked perfectly. Like home cooking. Key Lime pie is one of the best!
