“No internet in rooms.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

Just checked in . So far, so good, except for the fact that the advertised "internet available throughout the hotel" is only available in the lobby. Not so good when you require the internet for work.

We had a great stay at this hotel that was conveniently located to Disney World. The only lackluster part was the food at the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful.

For the cost that I paid to stay here, I wasn't expecting a 4 or 5-star quality. I was only interested in having somewhere to sleep for a few nights. However there were a lot of maintenance issues that should be addressed at any hotel. It took 30 minutes for the iron to turn on, and once it did, it clicked and popped! I called the front desk and they brought another iron and they brought another one almost immediately, but it did not work any better. There was black moldy looking stuff on the walls of the bathroom. The faucet dripped profusely. Plugs would not stay in the power sockets - they kept falling out. The heater was very loud and had a strange smell that gave me a headache. There was a creepy spider hanging from the ceiling over the toilet that almost landed on my nose! Please don't let the picture of the hotel fool you. Right behind the "tower" rooms, are rooms that look more like a cheap motel, which is where my room was located. People were constantly talking, running, laughing outside my door throughout the night, and the flooring outside is tiled, so every time someone rolls their luggage to and from their rooms, it makes a horribly loud noise - all hours of the night! So if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep at night without all the bells and whistles, I still would NOT recommend this hotel.

The rooms were dirty and poor maintance. The room we were staying in had a broken air conditioner which was not noticed until we woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat. After calling the front desk they brought us a key to another room. I was traveling alone with 3 children. They did not bothered to help me move our things to the next room. They did not offer a discount or an appology. After getting to the new room the TV was older and the room was smaller. To me that is a downgrade. They only offered complimentary breakfast for 2 to fix the problem. First of all, we were a party of 4. Secondly, why would I want to eat at such a dirty hotel. I know it was a cheap hotel but can't you at least do routine maintance or clean?

Dear Tripadvisor Readers-
This guest stayed with the hotel two days prior to this stay for one night, then returned to stay with the hotel again. On the first night of her stay no issues were noted. When the guest returned to stay with us for the second time, she checked in at 9:40 PM and notified the front desk night audit team that the AC did not seem to be working properly at appoximately 1AM. We do have security available to assist with luggage assistance if requested. I am sincerely sorry that this guest had to move rooms after settling in, however the apologies were sincere and the offer for breakfast included the children of course, not for only 2 as guests stated in her comments. My request to Tripadvisor Readers is to take neagativity into perspective, in this case, the guest stayed at the hotel previously and liked it enough to return two days later for another night. On the second stay, after over 3.5 hours in the room she noticed that the AC was not working. She contacted the front desk, they immediatley offered a room move and a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. To comment on Tripadvisor "dont stay here" and then "why would you want to have breakfast in a dirty hotel" isn't justified. Please understand, things will go wrong in any hotel. We do our best with the funds we have to work with to present a quality stay for the price to our guests, and our front desk team is empowered to do what we can to make it right for the guest should something go wrong. I believe they attempted to do that in this case.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Disney and the price was right. We wanted a clean place to sleep after a long day at the Disney Parks. The staff greeted us right away when we arrived and they were very helpful and friendly. We got a King room in the "tower". It was comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows smelled so fresh and were so comfortable.
The decor and the tv in the room may be outdated but it didn't really matter to us. The decorative blanket at the end of the bed did have a few stains on it but it looked clean just that those stains wouldn't come out. We just took it off.
We would stay here again in a second! *Bonus* There are tons of places to eat on the road the hotel is on.

Awful. Dreadful. Dirty. Gross. Disgusting. Need I say more. Hotel room 1 was a 1980's cheap motel room that smelled and that we couldn't stay in because the tub was being fixed. Hotel room 2 was the same but had a broken security lock which they came and fized immediately. After the repair we turned down the bed and found mouse poop in the bed!!! I picked it up and went to the front desk (who were not overly concerned). I asked for a got an "upgrade", which was the same room with a view of the pool. The lamps were mismatched, the bathroom door had no striker plate for the lock, it was dirty, chipped furniture, stained carpet! My husband and I slept on the bed in our clothes and checked out the next morning - 6 days early! We were not even asked why we were checking out, they obviously didn't care. We have contacted both Ramada and American Airlines Vacations about rating this a 3 star hotel and are waiting for a response. We recommend avoiding this place like the plague. We have numerous photos, far too many to publish and none good!

Room Tip: There are no good rooms in our experience!

You can't beat the price of this hotel, but just keep in mind - you get what you pay for. If you're going to be gone all day and just need somewhere to sleep, then this place will suffice. As soon as we opened the door, we detected the musty smell of the room. On the negative side, the bathroom faucet needed to be turned tight to keep from dripping, the knob fell off the lamp on the nightstand, there was an old tv (not flat screen) so picture quality wasn't what we were used to, and the bed was hard. On the positive side, the room was huge. We had a king bed, but it could have fit two queens easily. There was a small refrigerator and the usual table and two chairs. The shower was very good (nice shower head), and there was central air (no noisy wall unit). We had a nice view of the pool from the second floor. There was a restaurant in the lobby and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great; close to Disney attractions, restaurants, gift shops, etc. This is a great place if you just need somewhere to sleep and won't be spending much time there. Bottom line, the place needs some serious updating but is a bargain.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the pool.
