We visited Grates Cove Studios at the recommendation of our Inn Keeper and it was just as amazing as she described. This is an eclectic, but charming little restaurant in an old school house. The fusion of traditional Newfoundland and New Orleans cuisine was superb. Almost every dish could be made gluten free. As they are a small restaurant, I recommend calling 24 hours ahead of time to let them know you will be coming and have food allergies. I had the gluten free vegetable pancake and it was divine! Another reviewer stated that this place is overpriced, but I disagree. The food quality was wonderful, the service was excellent, and the view was spectacular! If the saying is true that “you get what you pay for,” then one shouldn’t complain about a moderate price for the outstanding culinary experience that is Grates Cove Studios. More
