Overall, disappointing even though they genuinely tried to make up for ur stay. I get the feeling they know of many problems with their resort but just hope you don't complain.

Cons
- most rooms in need of remodeling
- ceiling AirConditioner unit leaked onto carpet floor
- moldy smell (from wet carpets) masked by reed diffuser cleverly placed behind TV
- molding smell in hallways - you will see the house keepers sprinkling a scented baking soda into the carpets and vacuuming it up to "freshen" things up.
- mold on bathroom grout
- toilet would run through the night
-maintence staff was less than helpful
-most of the housekeepers did not speak English and could not help
- after complaining two times about our "upgraded room", they moved us to a different room

Pros
- good beach location
- Diamond perks - nice breakfast ($15 voucher for anything on the menu or basic breakfast Buffet)
- great Fresh squeezed OJ at Buffett
- great business center
- Nice pool
- because of our room problems, the Manager removed our $10/day parking and $50 in poolside bar charges.

Bottom Line
- don't stay here until after it is renovated (they begin Fall of 2012) - stay at the Marriott two blocks north....MUCH nicer, even if the rate is more expensive. Or, look into a nearby Waldorf Astoria in Naples if you have to stay with Hilton.
- I used 50,000 points/ night to stay at this "category 7 hotel". It is truly a category 3 or 4 and should be around 35,000 pts per night....at most. Once it is renovated, I could see it beng category 7.

When we got into our room the smell reminded me of a dentist office. The room was very out dated. Really needs a remodel. Also the shower was dirty. Hair on the ceilings. Does not seem like housekeeping pays attention to small details. Our toliet over flowed and flooded our bathroom .. Then our ac broke and we had to sweat through the night. Not exactly paradise. We were awoken by the sirens of the hotels fire alarm and the hotel was evacuated at 7am. Horrible way to wake up. Then at check out we informed the staff of our toliet and ac issue. To "make things right" the manager offered us 50$ food and beverage credit. Awesome after spending over $500.00 on our stay, that really seems like a good way to make things right. The hotel employees were very nice and remembered us at the bars and restaurants which was nice. Beware of all the food in Marco was here an entire weekend and had nothing good. Wouldn't come back next time I will stay at the marriot next door.

Great family quick florida beach trip. We like to maximize our stay by arriving early and leaving late so we can enjoy the beach the day we come and the day we leave. There was a nice bathroom to change in so we could hit the beach as soon as we pulled up . Our return flight was at 8:00 pm so we stayed on the beach the whole day. Our only shower option was a $50.00 day pass per person to the spa. I asked the manager for any suggestions and I was even willing to pay a reasonable fee to use a spa shower but felt $50.00 was crazy. I am not shy so used the outdoor beach shower for a full shampoo, condition, shave and bathing suit shower. Then I tracked through the hotel to the nice bathroom to change. This hotel needs to offer a shower area for guests. Other then that, it was a nice and easy hotel.

We have definitely been to some nicer Hiltons, but this one was very well kept. What made the stay great was the wonderful staff. It is so nice to see that good customer service is still alive in some areas. The pool was nice, however there was no "zero entry" so not too small kid friendly. I had to hold the 3 yr. old the whole time. It did get rather crowded also. We spent most of our time at the beach where Hilton guests get 4 free chairs with umbrellas and more chairs at an additional cost. They had lots of water sports available right there. We did some shelling as we walked along the beach and lots of sunning! It was a great location to walk to other areas of interests. We did have a car and we were charged $10/day to park.

Room Tip: We paid extra for the Gulf view and felt is was worth it. It was so nice to drink our coffee out on the balcony each morning. We even watched a rain storm come through, very cool high up!
