The white shell beach, dolphins playing 50 feet away, incredible sunsets, private beach chairs, family friendly pool area & grill makes this vacation spot ideal!

Wonderful Hilton beachfront property, clean, friendly staff, tennis courts plus walking distance to restaurants, shops & movies.

Many amenities & activities. Screened lanai with ample room for dining. 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen & laundry.

Only temporary drawback is construction on Marriott next door but cannot hear any noise at beach.

We will be back!

We have stayed here before in 2012. the Marriott was demolishing their old building and we had a villa 2/2 which was so convenient with our infant son. however, after the first night the rats that had been run off by the demolition had found retreat in our villa eating the tomatoes and apples in a bowl on the counter. the resort reacted quickly and moved us to the tower unit on the 8th floor. we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

fast forward to this morning!!! 2016 - We received our confirmation through Interval international on 9/1/16 and prepared for our stay, airline tickets etc. On page 3 of our confirmation page (in tiny tiny font) from interval, they indicated that construction to the Marriott began in April 2015 and outside construction would be complete within 6 months. thereafter, interior construction would be much quieter. it is now 12/16/16, approx. 1.5 years later.

having stayed here before and having loved the villa. I had emailed the resort to see if the room we had been "assigned" could be switched to a villa. I was told no by email and by phone and that the placement was based on interval inventory. I was told to contact interval. Interval told me to contact the property. yet again caught in the middle of some serious finger pointing.
a week prior to our stay the property told us, that the Marriott was under construction and that our unit was the closet to the construction. ( I can see the color of the workers name tags) I begged and pleaded with Interval and the property manager Mona to get a new location. All fingers pointed to the other company. WE called Interval approx. 4 times, each time we were told someone would call us back once they spoke to the property.
Ofcourse , we never did get a call back. WE had already booked 5 airline tickets, rented a car and we had no choice and NO ONE WOULD help.

Upon check in I again aasekd to be moved - that is when I me MONA the property manager. She sat down with me to explain that it was all Intervals fault. My original inquiry to the property was to be place in a villa for conveneivce - now traveling with 2 toddlers and an 83 year old grandma. when MONA heard my original request she laughed out loud and told me that was a ridiculpous request. Beyond offended that a property manager would call my request ridiculous I was headed for the door.
We checked into our unit 407. eye level with the exterior construction that promptly began at 7:10this morning with a concrete saw. if I can figure out how to post the video, I will.
My 4 year old was far more curious then I, so he went outside to the balcony to check it out. When he came back in he was filthy. Hands, feet, knees, nose and face covered in soot.
Interval and Eagles nest and the Marriott should be ashamed of themselves.

The next door Marriott is under construction and can be a bit noisy. The villas are remodeled and modern. Pool is noisy during bingo and arranged activities. Great beach and shelling available. Beautiful sunsets.

This was our first stay at Eagle's Nest, we had a good experience and would stay here again. We were fortunately that the person booking our room knew about the Marriott construction and book us in an 01 room as far from the worst of the noise as you could get.
We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath room unit that would sleep six. The rooms were well maintained, very clean with a lovely very on the screened in deck. The kitchen is well equipped to make basic meals.
We have stayed in a few HGV locations now and this is the first time we had to 'buy' salt and pepper - no big deal the little snack bar gave us enough to be able to make dinner the first day. We have started to build a little list of the things you need to bring with you when you stay at a HGV location. The ability to prepare your own menus allows you to extend you vacation money a lot further and to deal with dietary needs such as lactose intolerance.

OK, we have stayed here 4-5 times before and have given it great reviews so why does it get just 3 stars this time? Because of what is going on next door. The Marriott on the north side of this property is in expansion mode and they are not taking any prisoners. This construction emits a non-stop dawn to dusk cacophony of percussion sounds that can be heard throughout the Eagle Nest property and its beach. Rivet guns, hammers, high and low pitched grinders, the glub of concrete pumps and a lot of a whistle, the purpose of which I do not know. Oh, and did I mention the heavy machinery and trucks which begin their roar at exactly 7 am. Yes, the din continues non-stop from 7-6 every day except Sunday. And it is going to be going on for a while yet. The noise is so distracting as to make an otherwise great experience really suck. As for the Eagles Nest, it is still a good stay. We ran into a couple nagging maintenance issues but the beach was nice, just not quiet. If you have an infant, I'm not sure how you get them to nap. Avoid tower rooms ending in 6 or 7 as they are right next to the mess. I am not sure how the Marriott expansion will impact views from Eagle Nest when construction is complete.
