Lovely hotel, excellent staff, especially those at check-in. Room was clean and spacious with a lovely view. Great fitness center and not too busy. La Mas was lovely for a relaxing breakfast (service a little slow).

This property lives up to the Mandarin Oriental name. It has top-end rooms, outstanding staff, top restaurants, an outstanding spa, and a lively bar scene. Perhaps because of the location - Miami - this Mandarin has more "energy" in the common areas of the hotel than their typical property.

The hotel is located on a man made island, called Brickell Key. It is right off downtown and a short drive from the airport. It has a man made beach of the edge of the bay, but you cannot go into water. That doesn't spoil things much because there is a great pool and the cabanas at the "beach" are quite enjoyable.

The spa offers customary mandarin treatments. The wet area lacks a hot tub, but has a steam room and sauna.

The restaurants are lively and have a south american flavor to them. However, there are some "traditional" items on the menu if that's not your taste. The breakfast buffet was generous and the service was prompt.

The rooms were well appointed and had a mix of Mandarin design and Miami flavor. We enjoyed a suite that had an outstanding view overlooking the bay. The living area had plenty of room to enjoy a conversation with friends. The bathroom had a huge soaking tub and a stand up shower. It had great views (optional and 1-way) of the bay. The bedroom was large and also had a nice view of the bay. The room had all the amenities you'd expect from a five-star property.

The valet parking was quick. The staff was quite helpful. While I still think the Las Vegas property is still the best Mandarin in the Americas, this is probably tied for second with Boston. It's definitely a great bet for a visit to Miami.

High class all the way! fantastic!!!!!! Very pricey but worth it if you can afford it or if company is picking up the bill. So much attention is given to every detail from facility, decor, staff, food. The service model is one of the best in the world!

Stayed while attending the Miami Open. Good location relative to Key Biscayne and the Brickell area is very nice and walkable. It is a trek over to Miami Beach and the drawbridges can really slow you down.

Pros: excellent service at the front desk and concierges, really terrific room service and food at the restaurants, good location for Brickell.

Cons: the bathroom layout was really difficult for two people with a ledge rather than a counter top and only 1 sink, very uninspiring pool area, not a fan of the toiletries.

We stayed in a Deluxe Skyline room. There was no Amex Fine Hotels upgrade available which was a bummer.

Return trip has me eyeing The Edition in Miami Beach.
