When you want to visit, you'll end up in their parking garage which is $8 the first hour and $4 each add'l hour, so plan to pay $12 just to park your vehicle.
Admission is typically $16 per adult, $12 for Seniors 62+, Youth 7-18, and students... children and active US military get in free!
Inside there's some cool contemporary art, but it's really outside where this place shines-- you get just incredible views of Miami and its port and the surrounding waters-- the views from this elevated museum are amazing, esp. on a sunny, warm Florida day.
As for inside the museum, there are 2 floors with about 17 galleries of mostly contemporary art, which is fun to see. There's a cafe and restaurant (waterfront terrace) and gift shop. The layout is a bit awkward but, hey, it's a cool place to visit!
Photography is for personal use only. Visitors are welcome to sketch in the galleries using pencils and 8.5" x 11" sketchbooks. Strollers are permitted. Food and drinks are allowed in the lobby but not the galleries (obviously). Do check out the theatre/auditorium, sculpture garden, etc.
They have daily tours typically at 11, 12, and 2:30 and Thurs. evenings at 6:30pm as well as Spanish tours Saturdays at 2pm (subject to change).
On FB, they're /perezartmuseummiami and on Twitter and Instagram they're @pamm. Closed Wednesdays. General hours 10am-6pm (til 9 on Thursdays)... subject to change...
If you take the Metromover, which is free, get off at the Museum Park station. If you park at the Omni garage, it's one stop to Museum Park...
Questions? info@pamm.org.
Note: this museum is near the Frost Museum of Science, so if you can handle two museums in a day, do both!
