We booked two rooms and prepaid them a month in advance. We were leaving on a cruise the next day. Both couples had bugs crawling over them during the night.
Breakfast was good and hot. Check-in was OK. Check-out and attitude of two clerks
was lousy. It took 20 minutes to check-out as computer had different rate for one room, even thou they had accepted paid in full month prior. They did not acknowledge my gold card status.

Room tip: Choose another place. Where are the Choice Hotel inspectors?

Rooms were dirty and smelly.carpet needs deep cleaning....we had to wear slippers in the room. Hotel need renovations. Location was good. Breakfast area smelt musky. Breakfast was basic and the same everyday.

Hotel is old, but location cannot be beat,the falls mall one mile away metrorail and dadeland mall are 3 miles, city bus route to subway, shops and resteraunts galore around you, rooms are small, staff is fabulous, accommodating and very helpful, pool , free breakfast is just ok, have stayed here for eleven years in a row now because of these things, rates and location cannot be beat.

Stayed here over Christmas; lots of $$$ for a fair room. They have a table in every room which is way too big for the area. I couldn’t get out of bed on one side because of the big table. Nice comfy bed with clean sheets and towels that smelled clean. Bathroom floor dirty in corners but probably because the place is old and really needs renovating. This is okay for a night or two if you can’t find or afford anything else. Get a room in the back where it’s quiet. The front faces a very busy US1. This place would be really good if renovated.

Would not allow to pay by internet or phone. Upon arrival, staff took forever inside office with credit card. Within hours of hotel payment I had fraudulent charges on my card entered with same phone & address as hotel. Also, witnessed shady activity in back of hotel which appeared to be a drug deal. Room was hot & sticky. The whole place was uncomfortable. Hotel is way overpriced for the quality. The name of hotel is not what you are getting.

Dear Denise G,

It is unfortunate that as you share in you review this alleged things happened during your stay, which because of the lack of information we are not able to confirm.

We were a little bit confuse with the payment complaint, we have no control when a guest uses the internet to make a reservation or paid for it, we do make reservation over the phone and at our front desk at check in, our staff does not go to an office to perform this task because it is done in the presence of the incoming guest at the front desk in our lobby; every single transaction is recorded for service training and performance review of our staff.

You mention that the room was sticky and hot, it that was the case, you could have call the front desk to inform them and I am certain they will have taken care of the situation right away or move you to and upgraded room.

We take pride in our customer service and our attention to detail in servicing our guests needs, it is unfortunate that we were not given the opportunity to do so.

I will like to thank you for your review, and promise you that we will use the information to make sure that your concerns are address and taken care of in order to avoid anything like this to happen again.
