This hotel is on the outskirt of Brickell thus walking is required to reach City Centre. Because of this, you can find great deals. (Look in Google Maps for example.) There is nothing but the grocery store and hot dog food truck nearby. Walking during the day is ok but at night it gets a bit sketchy. From the airport, you can take the MIA mover to the car rental place, get out, then take the metro rail train one stop, get out / transfer to the other side of the platform, get off at the Brickell station, and walk the rest of the way. No need for a car or parking IF you plan to stay in Brickell. The hotel itself is updated and clean. Very comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was that the bathroom door would hit the toilet and not open all the way. Also, for light sleepers, the train is running early AM although, the train is not too loud. I did rent a car for one day and was able to park at the hotel for $25 a night. This is not a bad deal. There is a sketchy parking lot nearby where you can park $20 overnight but the hotel parking is worth the extra $5. Note that Lyft to South beach and back will cost you about $30. The rooftop pool / bar was nice but it was packed and I didn't use it. Overall, its a nice hotel, great deal and pretty good location. If there is not much difference in price to some hotels near city center, I would opt for City Center instead. But you can walk to the Train and MIA Mover to get around pretty easy here. Very Good IMO. More
