This is a very popular diner/bistro type family restaurant serving traditional Cuban fare at reasonable prices. Nothing fancy but good. Smiling service staff, lovely Sangria and polite management in a frenzied environment. In Little Havana (Miami) locals go to Versailles; On South Beach, locals all go to Puerto Sagua. Be prepared to wait and be prepared to enjoy.

Like the fact that there were no tourists here and mostly locals. The daily specials were interesting and what I ordered.

We decided to have lunch here for a break from seafood and it was perfect. It is just a regular little cafe type restaurant with a lot of locals and the curious tourists. We decided, as we do a lot, to split everything. No problem. We shared the back bean soup, the Cuban sandwich, the maduros and each had a soda. All for under 20 bucks and could not eat all of the food. We were sad that we didn't have room for the great looking flan. We asked for additional mojo sauce and it was outstanding...homemade. Something we had never had. Can't wait to try and make it. The service was great. The attitude in the place was wonderful and the food some of the best Cuban food we have experienced. Would recommend this place to all that are interested in this type of food. Everyone seemed to love their food.

Bland food and grumpy servers. There were five of us and maybe we all ordered the wrong things? Fish way over cooked. The place gives new meaning to hole in the wall... Definitely an authentic Cuban experience.. Minus the ridiculous Miami prices.

If you want a no frills place with authentic Cuban food in South Beach this is the place to go. I always stop there when in Miami Beach. I am not Cuban but from Puerto Rico and this is as good as my mom's cooking. There may be a wait and it is not a chic eatery but so delicious and service is always pretty fast. I recommend trying my favorite dish the breaded chicken breast, with white rice, black beans and plantains (sweet ones) Maduros and for desert try the alfajores -Shortbread cookies with Dulce de Leche and a café con leche! so good! I wish I was there now ;-)
