We booked a duplex room, which was good, but decided after few days that we'd prefer a single level room, and a room switch was arranged a without fuss or charge. The front desk staff are outstanding, particularly Allejandro and Marc. The food is very good value, but the wine is expensive and I don't understand why the restaurant is closed on a Monday... "because there's no demand - my answer is there can't be if you're closed) We hope to return next year, I can recommend this place.

From the moment we checked in, the staff was extremely nice and very helpful. The hotel is beautiful and calm and has a great location. Our suite was lovely with two balconies overlooking the pool and garden below. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The attention to detail was superb; such as, printed welcoming notes, flower petals on our bed for our anniversary, and our own printed business cards with our name, The Angler's local hotel number and map in case we needed to contact the Hotel.

We have traveled over 40 years all over the world and this hotel rates with us in our top 5. We will definitely stay here again and hopefully soon. A warm Thank You to The Anglers!

Room Tip: The hotel is 2 blocks from Ocean Drive and the Waterfront Promenade and the ocean. The hotel will...

We had 2nights at the Anglers after a cruise and had a lovely relaxing few days in South Beach. The hotel is only 2 blocks back from Ocean Drive which is nice to go to beach or stroll past all the Art Deco buildings and hotels. However it is a bit of a walk from the hotel up to Lincoln Road and the top end of South beach (approx 20mins/1 mile) We enjoyed the walk but it depends what your stay is for and how long you are in south beach for if you want to stay here. It's within 15min walk of the beautiful
espanola way aswell.

Our hotel room was 302. We had a view of Washington Ave and it was relatively quiet at night. It was a bright, clean room with lots of windows and a really comfortable bed ;-) the bathroom was lovely and clean too with great shower. There were free toiletries but no shower gel or shower cap! Our parents stayed in 301 and 304 which were both lovely rooms aswell. 301 was bigger than our room (paid same price though) and had sofa and chair where we had 2 chairs. Also they had a screen which split the bedroom part of the room from the living area which was nice. Their room was also beside the lift so i wondered if this divide was to block out noise from the bedroom. 304 was bigger again (although we think this was a free upgrade for my parents birthdays as the hotel spent time decorating it with balloons and flower petals - lovely touch!) and had a balcony. Although the room was overlooked (&overlooked) one of the rooms with private hot tub - so not very private for this room balcony or the other person if in the tub...just an observation but lovely room and was good for our party of 6 to spend some time together.n staff were very friendly and helpful. Also had our 1st nights dinner in 660 Anglers as we had a money off voucher on check in and this was lovely. Overall lovely hotel.

This is a nice hotel in Miami Beach, 2 blocks from Ocean Drive, but still on a busy street. We had a room that faced Washington Avenue and despite the modern and well-insulated windows could hear every car pass by. There is a small garden, restaurant, and bar with somewhat eclectic decor. We checked in when the Sunday brunch crowd was ready to leave and the atmosphere was more like an Irish pub than boutique hotel. The rooms are nicely renovated with the usual amenities and a comfortable bed. Since this is an old hotel, rooms are rather small and corridors noisy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would rate the experience on the expensive side (based on what was offered).

My daughter and I spent two nights here in March. What a lovely, quaint hotel. We had never stayed at a boutique hotel before, but would definitely return here. I think it's the nicest hotel in south beach! The service was excellent and the room was spotless and very stylish with nice furniture and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was huge. Our room overlooked the pool and was fairly quiet with a bit of noise in the late evening, but nothing that bothered us. The pool is salt water and many of the guests frequented here. Although small, the pool area was just perfect for the amount of guests and is secluded and surrounded by nice foliage but still sunny. My 14 yr old daughter liked the big bed-sized couches by the pool and in front of the hotel. I would wake early and have a coffee in the canopy covered, outdoor restaurant. It was surrounded by shady trees and flowers. I can see why Ernest Hemmingway frequented this hotel. It's only two blocks from the beach and during March Break, you don't want to be any closer than that! The service both at the reception and the restaurant was excellent. We were interested in surfing and our waiter, George, called his brother who is a surfer and got all the info. we needed...in five minutes! The desk even gives you an Angler beach bag with a few water bottles. These little extra touches really count.

Just got back from 2 x 3 nights at this hotel. Right from your arrival till you leave again the service is top notch, I will not emphasize individual employees because they were all super professional. The hotel is located just 5 min. from Ocean Dr., without all the noise all night. The rooms are large for Miami beach and the pool is nice to cool off in after a long day, and you have a feeling a little oasis in Miami beach. Can highly recommend this hotel.

Thank you for your recent visit with us and taking the time to provide your glowing feedback.

We delight in being the hidden boutique gem that's just far enough away while still being within walking distance from the action. I'll share your kind comments with all of our staff members.

We look forward to welcoming you back to your South Beach home!

While we had a good time and pleasant experience at the Angler recently, I walked away wondering how this could be the #1 Tripadvisor rated hotel in South Beach. We have limited experience at SoBe, the Ritz being our only other experience many years ago. The Angler sounded like the place we wanted this time. Local, small, with some charm. It does have great curb appeal, but its three blocks off Ocean Drive on a mixed commercial street with not much else going on around it. It has valet parking ( no self park provided by the hotel) and attentive staff when you arrive. The public areas, while small, are nicely done, especially the outdoor restaurant seating which has vegetation screening and lounge options. We had two good meals, a lunch when we arrived and breakfast. Both were well prepared, and well presented. Our two room suite, however, was a bit of a buzz killer. It was pretty tight quarters, only average furnishings, and had a bathroom sized for a Manhattan efficiency. Shower only. Interestingly though, the suite had a stereo that could have powered speakers in ten rooms. Of course, the South Beach experience isn't really about your room, its about what's going on outside. An SoBe did not disappoint us. There was a food and wine festival going ( it could be there all the time for all we know) but it was a lot of fun. Had dinner at A Fish Called Avalon, which is a couple of blocks from the hotel on Ocean drive. Fabulous food and very entertaining people watching. All in all a nice weekend. But for the money we dropped for the Angler experience, we're going to try something else next time.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room first. Avoid poolside first floor rooms unless you like strangers hanging aroun...
