Since our last visit to Cote Gourmet, ownership has just recently changed, but the experience has remained a most positive one.
Despite some unexpected snafus (which were handled beautifully), the meal that was presented was amazing. From looking at the fixed price menu we assumed we would be making choices from each category. Instead, we were presented with beautifully prepared small plates of each: poached egg on a fondue "bed," real foie gras with embellishments, real truffled pasta, and a special "good luck" dish for the new year. In addition there were elegant portions of three housemade desserts, ending with a perfect, light ice cream with a fruit coulis.
The service was warm and friendly without being intrusive and the staff was obviously anxious that we should enjoy both the food and the experience.
If this is any indication of the quality of the experience we will certain continue our regular attendance.
