Our extended family spent a week at the Cottages at Naples Bay Resort in May, 2013. We rented two different 2 bedroom units and we used the VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner) which allowed us to choose which units we wanted and rent directly from each owner. This was great because we had email and phone contact with each owner and could ask any questions we needed to. Plus, we were able to see inside pictures of the units on the website. I should add in here that pricing on the units is variable according to what the owner wants to charge although they all are within a few hundred dollers of one another. We rented G202 and E202. We landed in Ft. Myers late at night and made the 45 minute drive down to check in at the hotel. We were tired after a long day of travel and the hotel clerk did not give us our needed pool entry cards or pool towel cards, so needed to go back over the next day.

It is important to note that with each unit being individually owned, they are appointed and maintained differently. There are mostly 2 bedroom units but some are 3 bedroom units. It is a privacy gated area as well. There is assigned covered parking for each unit which is nice and plenty of guest parking. The Cottages is 2 story with elevators as well as the stairs for the second floor units.
Both the units we rented were very nice and spacious. The master bedroom and bath is exceptional with double sinks, jetted tub as well as a shower. The other bath is common tub/ shower/ sink arrangement.

The pool area is exceptional! The whole place is very well maintained and quiet. There are 3 pools and a hot tub. One of the pools is a "lazy river" which is really fun for the kids. The thing we found frustrating was having to use the card key to enter the pool area and the area to pick up towels and enter the fitness area. This seemed to be unnecessary since the resort is already a gated resort.

Each condo has its own stackable washer and dryer and we had no trouble fixing simple meals. These units are ideal when traveling with a larger family, but it is expected that you will take care of your own needs such as taking out trash and laundering towels if you run out and simply cleaning up after yourself unless you want to hire a maid from the hotel.

We had a marvelous time!

Room tip: Deal with the individual owners if you can on the VRBO website.

We stayes at a 2 bedroom suite at the cottage in May 2013. Travelling with a 15 month old little vacation homes can become a challenge. But this place has been perfect to our needs. The cottage offers you a tremendous privacy. Some of the suites are located at a busy road but bedrooms are always very quite.

We enjoyed the luxury of the resort. We received great value for money. The suite has a fully equiped kitchen with everything you need, mixer, micorwave, coffee maker (but bring your own coffee and filters), dishwasher etc. We missed nothing bzt were very surprised having beach chairs, parasol and a cooler available en suite.

The patio is equiped with a mosquito net soyou can enjoy sitting outside and reading. For our a little boy it was perfect as he had is own bedroom and we found everything very baby safe. Espeacially the pool at the club was great for him with a very flat-angled entrance and a speacial infant bathing area.

Allthough the cottage doesn't have complemantary daily cleany (only on requestat extra cost) we found it a very clean and convenient place where we would definitely go again even for a longer stay.

Room tip: Make sure getting a suite on a quite side. There is a busy road passing building I.

Let me start by saying, I am very picky and can be difficult to please. We just returned from a week stay at the cottages. We stayed in a 2-bedroom cottage. We traveled with several other families who also stayed in 2 bedroom cottages, and 1 family stayed in the hotel. We LOVED nearly everything about the resort; we highly recommend it and look forward to returning another time soon! When we first arrived and did not yet have our cottage, I was horrified at how over-crowded the pool area was (arrived Friday of Easter weekend). One of the amazing bar/pool service staff greeted me after sensing my near panic attack. She immediately sprung into Ritz-Carlton-type service mode and found us chairs, brought us towels and drinks! Turns out she saved our vacation because as I was looking for my phone to search out other accommodations, she settled my nerves by going above and beyond and turning a near bad experience into an amazing one. She took great care of us for the remainder of the week and we left th resort, considering her a friend! After checking into our cottage, I was floored by how nice, CLEAN and well appointed our accommodations were. Our cottage far exceeded our expectations. We had everything we could ever ask for in the unit and it was larger- had more sleeping options than we anticipated. Everything appeared brand new and was spotless clean! As far as the staff is concerned, we never once encoutered anyone who was less than amazing. The club reception employees, the cleaning staff, the club concierge, the pool wait staff, the valet...WOW! After spending a week there - the only negative comments I have is that a) I didn't love having to use towel cards to obtain and return towels and b) we didn't have a lot of hot water, which I am assuming may be specific to our unit and perhaps a problem easily fixed. Those are tiny negatives compared to every other experience and/or comment being overly positive. The pool area was no longer crowded ater Easter (I must admit that it would have been that way anywhere). Thankful for that initial great service, we were able to thoroughly enjoy the space, comfort, cleanliness of our cottage, the fun of the pool/lazy river, the excellent service, the beautiful workout area, the extra measures the staff takes to keep things clean, looking brand new, and feeling like a Ritz Carlton without the high cost! We highly recommend this resort to families- especially those travelling with friends! p.s. I am not sure if this is true, but I suspect the units may vary based on owner- so I hope the owner of the unit you get was as awesome as ours must be! It is not often to be blown away by a resort in this price point- this one absolutely exceeded the standard!! Hurry up and go!

Room tip: Ask about the unit.. I have a feeling end units may be more spacious.

A nice and friendly place in Naples for families. Cool pool, nice location and helpful staff... I especially liked the multiple pools, drinks and food by the poolside and the big workout rooms...

The place is a bit pricey but in Naples - you don't want cheap

This was our third year staying in the cottages. Let me start by saying the front desk staff, valet, maintenance man and grounds are top notch but the housekeepers need some serious training in cleaning. Our first yr. we were in the 3 bdr. Cottage in the D building which was very nice but tile floors were dirty. Last yr. and this yr. we are in the I204 cottage, this unit is in need of some serious cleaning. The housekeepers did nothing but put clean sheets on the bed and left only a few towels for a family of 5. I feel for what I paid for this unit I should not have to go out and purchase cleaning supplies and clean the place upon my arrival. There are grimy looking marks and fingerprints on the walls, doors, wood work and light switches the carpets need a major cleaning and the tile floors need a good scrub. I think the manager needs to better look over the work or lack of work that the housekeepers are doing. Our cottage was poorly refreshed for our arrival. We had to call several times for basic supplies that we know should be in the unit. The floors were so filthy I used a whole pkg. of wet pads to clean the floors. The sofa really needs replaced because the cushions fall in when you sit on it. I seriously think we may have to stay somewhere else next yr. if they cannot guarantee us a different cottage other than I204 and a clean cottage at best. Lastly most places provide info. book about the place, tv channels etc. nothing at this place.

Room tip: Request not to be in I204. Unless you like a dirty area and you like cleaning !
