We arrived on Sunday afternoon, April 1, 2012 and checked into the hotel. Our room was perfect for me and my daughter. The amenities were very nice and the room was clean and spacious. We were on the first floor so we had a door that led to our private patio with a view of the ocean. We walked right out of our room onto the beach, and a few more steps led us to the swimming pools. Room service was top notch and so was housekeeping. Since I was there to manage my company annual meeting, I needed to check on room setups, menu's and anything else we would need for our meetings. The setups were correct from the start. I forgot to add a podiem to one of our meeting BEO's and the hotel was quick to bring one on my request. The luncheon meeting was very well presented and not only looked beautiful but tasted wonderful. For our last night we had an ocean lawn party. A request for one beverage that was not on their menu was accomodated for us. We brought in our own musician, Jeff Key, who books through Danny Morgan Musical Services (thankyouforthedance.com) was absolutely wonderful that we didn't want the evening to end. Checking out was hard to do. We wanted to stay longer, but it was time to pack our bags and head home. The concierge was very helpful every time we needed information. On our departure, she found a less expensive way to get back to the airport in Ft. Meyers. I would recommend calling the concierge at the hotel to get transportation reservations to and from the hotel if flying into Ft. Meyers. Our overall experience was "can we move here?" from my daughter, and I totally agree.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the Penthouse building on the ground floor so you can walk right out to the beach...

Just returned from a less than impressive four night stay. Majority of the hotel staff needs basic customer service training. Problem # 1 - booked a Gulf of Mexico View King Bed Room almost four months ago and arrived to find a Gulf of Mexico View Twin Bed Room. After back-forth with the front desk staff during check-in, we were told - the Naples Beach Hotel does not guarantee room type. This makes no sense. Why wouldn’t you tell a customer that upfront during the booking process versus selling them one product and delivering another? Why would you make a reservation including a pre-pay deposit for a specific room type and not be guaranteed your room type on arrival? Problem # 2 - maid service is hit or miss. One day no problem, the next you are left without fresh towels, the next everything is okay, and the last you are left without any soap. Problem # 3 – some of the breakfast food service staff appear very annoyed if you do not order off the breakfast buffet versus the made to order menu. This was the general impression of the entire party who stayed for a large event in the Naples area. Problem # 4 – at check out, billed over sixty dollars for recreation equipment. I went to the front desk staff and asked why as our rack rate of almost three hundred dollars a night included two beach chairs daily. According to the front desk staff, that only covers a certain type of beach chair and apparently not the beach chairs we were provided by the beach staff. Never told this before or during our stay – we only learn of this policy at check-out. More bait and switch.

Room Tip: The hotel beach is wonderful and a great place to walk...

The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club is a lovely spot on the Gulf. The beach is beautiful and practically right outside your door. The pool was great and located right on the beach. The rooms are clean, spacious and ours included a small patio. They appear to be environmentally conscious, which isn't always the case with hotels. The food was very good but expensive. The only disappointing aspect is that any additional amenity (beach chairs, umbrellas, wifi, etc.) requires additional fees. We had a great week here and will return.

We just returned from a vacay in Naples. We stayed in a condominium within walking distance of The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club and it became our favorite destination for lunch and dinner. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the umbrella tables with a view of the the white sand and within sound of the surf. The food was delicious and the servers were attentive. I am terribly allergic to shellfish and the servers ensured my food was safe. The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is a lovely spot and a highlight of our vacation.

My 10yr old daughter just asked if we could rate this place less than 1 star(!)
I booked a suite but it was TINY, not particularly clean, a little smelly and draughty at night when the wind whistled through the ill-fitting door. Great view of the Gulf - but none of the windows could be opened. Within 6 hours of checking in, one of our cases was covered in bugs....yuk! We arrived around sunset and the kids ran straight into the sea......who could resist? I then asked the pool staff for a towel and they told me there weren't any available as they all get sent to the laundry at sunset. Seriously? Asked housekeeping if they had any softer pillows:"No"' ....an iPod dock: "No"......a DVD player: "No."
Stay here if you want an expensive beach shack with the service and facilities of a Siberian gulag.

This remains a very nice place for families. The location is outstanding! Right on the beach and less than a mile to Fifth Avenue shops and restaurants. The spa is very nice with a full range of services. The golf course is a nice resort course a bit short and narrow but it's location across the street from the beach makes up for that. The owners have done a good job of continuing to update rooms and facilities in this older property.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the most recently remodeled/redecorated rooms and check the location. Those facing th...

We had a great stay last week. The room was top and the housekeeping fantastic. Nice to be able to walk right out to the beach. Free chairs would have been nice. The grounds are beautiful and everything is within an easy walk. The beach bar and restaurant is great as its on the water and the staff great. I agree with the previous poster the woman at the pool bar had an attitude and we went to the beach bar instead. HB's on the Water can't be beat for dinner. See Jaime at the front and he'll get you a good seat. We didn't have a reservation. We had breakfast delivered for $4 more than eating in the dining room and enjoyed the water view on the deck each morning.

Room Tip: Ask for a Gulf view and take it.
