“Could be nice BUT.......”

Good location, pleasant environment but be forewarned that all is not what it appears. When you book through a web based travel site there is no guarantee of a particular room and as the manager explained it is the luck of the draw. We were traveling with friends and for the same priced rooms for a 7 day stay, ours was totally disappointing. It was on the ground floor next to the parking lot with a bright lamppost right outside of our window, and two double beds instead of a king with one desk chair. We had to keep the the drapes closed all day with no light during the day and at night a bright lamppost light outside shining through the closed drapes. . Our friends were on the fifth floor, with a balcony overlooking the lake, a king sized bed and a comfortable sofa and costing exactly the same. The "deluxe" breakfast was anything but and there was a $10 add on fee each night which I was told was for the facilities which I was told was for what was advertised as "free" parking, the "free deluxe" breakfast, the pool use, etc. I was told that if I had booked directly with the hotel I would have had my choice with the same rate and that people who had booked that way got preference!!! Buyer of so called discount travel sites beware.

Room Tip: Don't book through a web based travel site. Book at the lake

The quiet pool with a lagoon view were almost as satisfying as being able to take long walks in front of a beachfront property. The staff provided all sorts of extras (beautifully presented continental breakfast, complimentary wine in the evening, free wifi, free parking). This is a lovely boutique hotel with warmth and charm. We especially loved the views from our balcony and our cheerful room.
The proximity to shops, movies, markets, etc. was an added bonus.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days in January and extended this as it was such a relaxing and pleasant place to stay. The rooms are a good size with fridge and microwave. There is a lovely pool area. It is well situated just 1 mile from Vanderbilt Beach and easy to get into Naples and north to the various resorts. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our thanks to Scott Kenney, the assistant general manager, who was extremely understanding and efficient and ensured we had a first class experience. Good stores and various restaurants nearby.
We recommend without hesitation - just go there !

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool and adjacent lake are great and have a nice balcony where you can watch t...

I visit Naples about once per month for business and I always stay at The Inn at Pelican Bay. The staff is friendly and helpful, there is wireless Internet throughout the hotel, there is a fantastic complimentary breakfast (try the waffles) the rooms are sizable and clean. This is what a boutique hotel is all about.

I stayed at this hotel last August and thought it was just great - perfect for my needs and I said if I return to the Naples area I would stay here again.
I didn't think it could get much better but I was wrong. When we arrived late January '12 (for an 11 day stay) I discovered that the pool and the terrace area had been refurbished -new tiles the lot!! New carpets in lounge area and beneficial work carried out on the elevators.
The staff were just as friendly AND reconised that my wife & I were repeat guests.
We are due back in Naples in late May and I have already emailed the Hotel to reserve me a room.

Room Tip: Book direct with the Hotel you will probably get a better rate.

The Inn is a lovely boutique hotel in a great Naples location. It has a more personal vibe than a large convention hotel, although they do have conference facilities in another building. The service was friendly, rooms were very clean, morning continental breakfast was nicely presented (glass cups, plates, real silverware). My only recommendation would be a better selection of evening wine since only chardonnay and merlot were offered. The property is very well maintained and extremely quiet. My room was a deluxe king overlooking the pond/fountain. I loved this property and plan on returning. I would recommend this hotel for a girls' getaway or a couple's retreat -- probably not suited the best for families with small children.

Room Tip: Nice view from upper level rooms facing fountain/lake.
