We enjoyed staying at Vistana Villages. We had a 2 bedroom unit in building 6. Nice room, layout etc. Too much furniture for space, we had to put some on balcony. Beautiful pool, however water temp was usually too chilly to go in, so everyone was in "quiet pool". We are timeshare owners in Hawaii so knew what to expect of calls etc. We either didn't answer phone or said we weren't interested. But be prepared, they will want you to attend a breakfast and presentation. I love the location of this property as I have stayed down the road at Grande Vista many times. After staying at both Vistana and Vistana villages as well as most of the Marriott Vacation Club properties in Orlando, i would have to say I would rather go back to Marriott. But would for sure take Villages over older Vistana any day.

Had a two bedroom booked through a friends timeshare. Nice place, good amenities, good proximity to shopping and disneyworld and all the rest. Really nice pools. The suite we stayed in had a full kitchen and was completely stocked. We went through the time share spiel and it was mostly not too irritating except for the rude women at the end. If it wasn't for her I would give it an excellent.

This place is really nice and very spacious. We got the one bedroom suite and we were on the second floor overlooking the nice lake.I love the bathroom! Its big and theres a jacuzzi inside. They have nice amenities and the pools are great.Beautiful place to relax and unwind. We are on the keys section so its really quiet.Timeshare people are really annoying though, maybe thats the only downside of this hotel but overall we really enjoy our stay.

We staying at Vistana Villages Feb 20/08, we have 2 small children..We were told to stay in the "Keys Section" which is at very back of resort facing forest...No view, very dark and we were not particulary happy with this...Pool in Keys section is smaller and quiet but lacking some of the excitment of larger pool in main area..We found walk a bit too long to main building w small kids...We read alot about pushy sales people-well don't pick up your "welcome package", which is just a technique to get you hooked and don't answer your phone and you'll have no problem.
Power went out on beautiful hot day which was not resorts fault but they continued to make all guests exit pool & pool area entirely for over 3 hours...This was a concern as we slotted this day as "pool day" and they were not at all accomodating w small kids...Service was ok at best at the restaurants by pool. Was able to check in early which was nice...Overall decent place, clean but lacking views and excitment....

We stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort in the middle of February, 2008. This property is very nice. It has many walking pathways that wind around pretty waterfalls. There are little nooks and crannies around the path with hammocks and chairs over looking the ponds. Check in was about 15 minutes long, but the lady was very nice. She gave us recommendations for pizza places, and was accommodating when we asked for more towels and an extra key card.

We stayed in the Keys section of the property. There are about 5 or 6 buildings maybe in that section that are 4 or 5 stories high. We stayed in 36 (maybe?) on the 4th floor. It was very modern inside the villa, has a medium refrigerator, a dish washer, toaster, convection oven/microwave, and small flat range/stove, a sink with garbage disposal, etc. Very well equipped. It had about 8 cups, a couple mugs, 4 small and 4 larger plates, and it has basically everything you need to make something in what they have to offer. They also provide you with a small bottle of dish soap, and 2 packets of dish detergent for the dish washer. They also provide dish washing towels. Also inside the villa is a table with four chairs, a 32" or so television with a DVD player in the main room, and below the television is a 3-CD Changer stereo with a jack and cord to hook it up to your Ipod (nice touch). As well, the couch in the main room is a sleeper sofa. They also have a small washer and dryer in a closet. In the bathroom, which is very large I might add, they have a nice tub with jets, like a jacuzzi. In the one bedroom there was, there is another television, a bit smaller than the main one, and a comfortable bed with a ceiling fan and alarm clock.

Overall, the villa was very nice. One of the vents looked like someone got mad and punched it, but otherwise the place was in very good condition and very clean. If you end up needing any type of grocery to use in the kitchen, or anything else, there is a Walgreen's and Publix about a mile down the road when you take a left out of the Vistana Villages property. The property had 2 pools, one large one near the main building and one just for the keys section. The keys section also had their own activity room, arcade room, and gym which was really nice. They also had a basketball court and a volleyball court with sand included. Don't worry about bringing your gear- they provide it, free, for you. When we asked for a volley ball, I recall seeing tennis racquets, so perhaps there's a tennis court nearby that I never saw.
There is construction going on, on this property, but we never heard anything. If you want to stay away from it, request the Keys section and I believe you will be fine.

The one downside that made us almost give it a 4 instead of a 5 was the hard sell at the timeshare meeting. It went well over two hours, rather than the advertised 90 minutes, and we went through 3 people. You MUST be consistent and go in with your mind decided or else you may fall through. It got to the point where we said, no, we are not interested and the person there said "Well, you are saying no just to say no!" Just keep your wits about you. However, for the price we paid, we thought it was still worth it.

This was a repeat visit booked through Virgin Holidays in the UK. How things have changed since I was last there 12 months ago.
There is currently major construction on the Vistana Villages site. It is ugly and can be noisy. It faces the backs of Blocks 1,2 and 3 of Bella Florida Village blocks 4 - 11 are not directly affected. It faces or is side on to the balconies (fronts) of the new Amelia Village. Key West Village is some way away and I think therfore that the construction won't be that noticeable.
To be fair, once in the room it doesn't really affect you unless you look out onto it from the Ameila area.
However, I was not forewarned about this.I only got another room with the help of the Virgin Rep ( who didn't know about the construction either) The room in block 3 also smelt strongly of stale smoke, the deadlock on door was broken and several amenities were missing including the inventory.
Don't expect to find the rest of I Drive around here as it was 12 months ago. There is major construction straight facing the Vistana Villages and at other locations in the close vicinity. When I was there I Drive was even being relaid !
The Vistana Villages is still a lovely resort but in my opinion it will spoilt by over development of itself and the surrouding area.

Sheraton Vistana Villages is one of the cleanest resorts I have ever stayed at, and coming from a clean freak that means a lot. The rooms were impeccable with modern and lush designs throughout. Top it off with a whirlpool tub and flat screen tv's in both the living room and bedroom. The property is very lush, the pool is fantastic and the fitness center has gym quality equipment. The property is super close to a grocery store, outlet malls and theme parks. I would definitely stay here again!
