We stayed in a 1 BR condo in the south tower. Very nice room. We were charged a $20/night + tax "resort fee" in addition to the booking charge. The "fee" seemed very high for WiFi (unsecured and not fast), beach chairs, beach umbrellas, use of gas cooking grills, exercise room, and use of the pool when most of these services are included free in the booking charge at other resorts.

First time here. Stayed in South Tower. Nice clean one bedroom unit. Nice view of beach from inside all units due to design of building. Not the case in North Tower. Both towers share an outdoor pool. Nice design especially for small children. On the negative side the pool is only 3 feet deep. Not great for adults. It’s large enough that one end could easily have been made deeper. Only reason I didn’t give a higher rating. Unit was clean, up to date, furniture in good shape, comfortable bed. Check-in in North Tower. No mid week service unless staying more than 8 nites - fine with us - plenty of supplies to last all week, good bed linens that stayed together all week. washer and dryer in room. Nice feature if you need it. Terrific restaurant diagonally across the street (Stonewood). Right on the beach also - very nice beach. Resort chairs on the beach.

This was our third time to this resort! This time we brought our kids with us. They loved it too. If we weren’t out jumping waves... we were in the lazy river and pool area. Can’t wait to go back again

We just returned from a 5 day stay at The Cove. Family of 4 with 13 and 9 year old. 2 Bedroom unit. Check in was late at night and went smooth. Our room was clean and in good working order. Beds were all comfortable. All applicances worked well. Lots of towels. The resort is literally right on the beach. Nice pool - really well suited for little kids and folks who want to relax. If you need an action pool this isn't it. No deep end or slides. Our kids enjoyed it. The beach front was amazing. Great sand and waves. No pub or bar at the resort. Lots of parking close to your building. Safe and secure.
Centrally located quick to everywhere. Lots of good places to eat.
If you are not familiar with the area there is not a ton of things for kids to do. We did Mini Putt at Congo River Rapids - it is great. We rented beach golf cart $50 for an hour down in Daytona Beach - a fun thing to do.
A good place if you like barbeque ie brisket, pulled pork and chicken is Crabby Chris's. It is an outdoor picnic table place but the food was awesome.
Alfies was a good spot for breakfast.
Also ate at Landshark in Daytona Beach - standard pub fare and was good. Nice spot to sit and look at the water.
We had a great time - would recommend to a family who is looking to relax and enjoy the beach!!

Stayed at Ormond Cove South Tower. We had a 1 bdrm unit. The one bdrm had a washer and dryer. Very clean with a partial view of the ocean. The condo is right on the beach. The pool is a lazy river. There is also an indoor pool. The resort furnishes tubes to float on. Very kid friendly. We were there Aug 24th-30th. The resort was not fully occupied which made it nice. It was a very nice stay. Close to a lot of restaurants and for those with no laundry in room, there is a laundromat across the street. The Stonewood restaurant was a wonderful surprise. We had BLEU CHEESE CHIPS as an appetizer.
Fresh-cut chips, lightly baked, bleu cheese crumbles, balsamic reduction drizzle, bleu cheese aioli, rosemary and thyme. Delicious!!!
The only downside is that we own a timeshare with Diamond International. Owners beware!!!! The concierge told us that if we went to a 60 minute membership review we would be given a 100.00 gift card. The information on the brochure says we will learn how to utilize our benefits. There was ZERO info on utilizing benefits. It was 2 hours of sales. The salesman was a former football player (who speaks of himself in the third person) He spent a 1/2 hr talking about his glory days, living large and the epiphany he had that was written in his book, that was on display. Finally, at the two hour mark we called an end to the madness. He then said there was another guy who needed 30 seconds of our time...no, no it was a Closer...since we don’t want to spend 45k, the Closer can get us a deal for 4K. We wanted NO deal. At that point we could care less about a 100.00 gift card. Sad!
