Arrived to a packed restaurant and were lucky to get a table. Ordered a beer and a merlot. The wine tasted a little off but opted to drink it anyway not knowing if that was just the way the house wine tasted.
Ordered a ceasar salad and a tomato basil soup. The salad was very fresh and very tasty dressing. The soup was an enormous portion, hot and very good flavor.
I asked the server about the spaghetti carbonara and she said it was excellent. She said it was a very popular item. So going off of that I ordered it. My friend had a sandwich. The pasta arrived and the server offered grated cheese. The pasta had zero flavor. I added salt and black pepper. Still no flavor except maybe nutmeg. Kept tasting nutmeg, if I was not mistaken. Asked for red pepper flakes. Still very disappointed with the pasta dish.
The server was very nice and tried to be accommodating. Not her fault the pasta was disappointing. She was middle aged lady, very pleasant and a good server.
So that being said, the appetizers were great and the entree was not.
Pizzas all around us looked delicious. Might give it another try in the future.
