We stayed in Unit 242 and the condo was great and the view of the 8th hole up against the ocean was spectacular. We would most likely come back but there are a few things that annoyed us during our stay--NONE of them had to do with the condo or the vacation rental pros, they were both GREAT.
Alright the annoying things.
This is a community and NOT a resort--totally self service which we were OK with EXCEPT for the bar. The problem is the bar couldn't charge to your unit so you have to carry cash/credit with you or your out of luck. When the whole family wants to go play in the ocean--you have to leave your cash hidden on the beach. Prices weren't bad at the bar though. Also we had a cooler on our beach cart which we had to lug all over the place due to the location of the pools but when we got to the pool we had to place the cooler outside of the pool area even though we weren't even grabbing drinks out of it. The bar/grill just doesn't have a resort/tropical feel to it.
The pools are FAR from the condos. Why put 2 pools right next to each other--I get it though as both pools were serviced by the chincey little bar and grill. We like to stop by the pool after hanging out at the beach all day but the location of the pools made this a real hassle and we had to lug all of our beach stuff to hang out at the pool.
Pools could get crowded and this place would have a real problem as the community isn't even half built out--if all the lots were built the pool areas would not be nearly big enough.
OK here is my #1 annoyance---NO GRILLS are you kidding me, we're at the beach in the summer and we can't cookout???? NO GRILLS ALLOWED period.
The list of rules is a longer read than the New Testament. Lighten up Cinnamon Beach people are there to relax and kick back.
Be ready to cook though there isn't a large selection of restaurants nearby until you get back to the interstate which has all of the chains.
All in all we had a great time and we'll most likely be back but get in a building closer to the pools, the area is beautiful and the rental group is great. Just be ready to walk if you stay in the condos.
