We were down in the St Andrews Historic District attending a farmers market. After the market we went across the street to unts. We got there around noon and found an already long line. We waited around 40 minutes to be seated. We oredered the 3 cheese cajun oysters for our appetizer and they were delivered in a very short time. Awesome, awesome and even more awesome. They were fresh from the fisherman who got them. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was very mild. The wife had the blackened grouper and said hers was amazing. We will be back before we leave the area to go home.

We ate at both while we were in town and here is what we came up with. For our opinion The Captains Table edges out Hunts by a small margin for our taste. Both had outstanding service, great food and a small local atmosphere. The main reason we slightly preferred the Captain was the coating on the grouper. It was a little crunchier while Hunts had a little less coating.I suggest if you like a small local seafood place to try both and decide for yourself.Uncle Earnies is also nearby but we didn't get to try it on this trip, maybe next time. One extra note, whichever you decide to try,get there early(before they open). They both fill up very fast with the locals as well as the tourists, which says something about the quality if they keep the locals coming in.

They have been open for years, they are obviously doing something right.

I am not sure what the buzz is all about! Had Oysters and the Sea Food plate and all I can say is that it was average at best!

Hunt's has always been a favorite of my family's whenever we travel to PC Beach, but if the meal we just had there had of been our first, we'd never go back. The oysters are always good, but the service was lousy. My husband had to ask for a beer three times before the server finally brought him one. The crab bisque was so salty and thick it was more like a dip than a soup. The fried shrimp was greasy, the side items were cold and had to ask for them to be heated. Our drinks never got refilled. For a place that has such a great reputation, it was an extremely disappointing meal, especially since we drove 30 minutes and waited over an hour for a table.
