We ate at Morales several times while they were in downtown Punta Gorda. The food was always good. However, they are not closed - just relocated across the bridge in Port Charlotte.

They closed their doors over night...gone...no more! People are still saying they are open, but they are GONE! There is a For Sale sign on the property and everything has been cleaned out!

Delicious. Friendly staff. Homey interior with lots of unique art works for sale. Reasonably priced. We will be back!

We were driving through Punta Gorda and consulted Tripadviser for a likely lunch spot. We picked Morales and were not disappointed. We decided to order breakfast which was still being served at 11:30. My husband is still raving about the hamsteak that came with his eggs, as well as the Cuban toast. The highlight of the meal was the Cuban coffee con leche, which we tried for the first time, and was absolutely delicious. We're hoping to find a good Cuban spot in Orlando which serves that wonderful coffee.

Our group of 18 had reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday evening. Lucky for us we had the owners waiting on us, Alex and Dayani, needless to say we were taken care of on a personal level. A few members of our group spoke Spanish which was helpful when ordering. I had the oxtail with white rice and black beans, yucca, and sweet plantains. The oxtail was cooked to perfection and fell off the bone. They also have a Cuban sandwich and a version with extra meat which was about 4 inches tall and well worth the extra money, it is big enough for 2 meals. The skirt steak was very good and tender with a great taste. Pork, roasted or fried were both very good with seasonings and made with care. Owners Alex and Dayani are very friendly people and want everyone who comes to Morales to leave happy and satisfied and the service we received reflected their devotion.
