This is without a doubt one of the worst public shooting ranges I have ever visited. (and dangerous).1 RO for over 100 shooters. 1/2 dozen using one shooting lane. Full automatics. Empty cases by the hundreds all over the floor. No waiting order. Arguments as to who is next for a lane. Shooters went into a lane and no cold period called in an hour. Shooters just started using what ever shot up targets were out there in the field. This range could use some ideas from Nights Trail Range in Sarasota County. I don't know how anyone could have given it more than 2 Stars.
Maybe sometime in the past. We took a chance at going twice, but never again.

Went shooting with Son-in-Law and Granddaughter. Wonderful experience! The range is well managed, no fooling around tolerated for safety. We shot at the 100 yd rifle range, sighting in new weapons. If you are new to rifle shooting, bring ear plugs, protective eyewear AND earmuffs. You supply targets, so bring them and a stapler! The shooting benches are under cover which causes a big, big echo. There are restrooms on site, but you must and should bring your own refreshments. I was happy my son-in-law had drinks in the cooler. There is fishing also, so pack some rods and make a day of it. Don't recommend pets or small children. too loud.

Its time,we are getting a bit of chance to shoot without the long lines of winter. The place is great to spend a few hours and use the 200 rifle or 20 yard pistol range. Just off Tuckers Grade road its a beautiful drive [for Florida] and for a low price I think its 3 bucks a person or 6 bucks a car load you can use the range. Lines are a bit prohibitive in winter but summer time is pick a lane and ammo up.

We had really looked forward to this trip . We are keen photographers and birders and were especially looking forward to seeing the various woodpeckers.
Firstly when we arrived there were no staff around. We paid money into honesty box and collected a map. We drove around stopping every so often to walk a little and
search out birds. All we saw were a couple of Egrets, grackles and black birds.
I did get a rather nice shot of a dragonfly with unusual markings .
There was a lot of activity at the rifle range so this may have been scaring off the birds.
There were no signs of the much reported woodpeckers.
If I was you I would give this place a miss if you are wanting to see birds.
Lots of other,better,sites in Area.
