Perfect stay!

Review of Sebastian Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jul 24, 2022
This was a perfect property for a weekend stay. The room was extremely spacious and meticulously cleaned. The location is fantastic, easily accessible to many of St Augustine's attractions. Most noticeably, the staff here was just amazing. Each front desk agent, every time we passed by, was so outgoing and friendly, it just made for an excellent stay. The woman that checked us in during the evening shift was so welcoming, and extremely helpful and informative. The woman in the mornings was equally friendly, and greeted us every time we walked by the front desk. I highly recommend this property!!

From calling the front desk and speaking with Laura, I was properly informed on everything I needed to know from check in to check out. The other staff members when checking in were very kind and ALL had a smile on their faces! I have NEVER been to a hotel where you immediately felt like family! This group of women certainly went above and beyond any place I have ever stayed to make me feel welcome. I would NOT hesitate to stay at this hotel short term or long term. What a great environment and fun place to stay. Please don’t check in somewhere else… check in here! You won’t regret it. Thanks Samatha for all you did too! I am one happy camper!

My husband and I stayed at the Sebastian Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida for three nights. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and centrally located to many attractions. The hotel staff was extremely knowledgeable and professional. They advised us about the courtesy shuttle service from the hotel and answered our questions about purchasing tickets for the trolley tour.

We stayed in Tower B, room 417 which faced the rear of the building. The room was spacious and quiet, and we never hear any noise from the pool area which could be viewed from our room. From another window in our room we could see the top towers of Flagler College, the Sebastian Winery, and the canal leading to the Intercoastal waterway. Our hotel was clean and the beds were quite comfortable for sleeping. The windows had blackout curtains which enabled us to sleep later then expected.

The hotel provides complimentary coffee in the lobby daily. The front desk staff even gave our Pomeranian pup a doggy treat, which he eagerly accepted! We ate breakfast one morning at the hotel, which serves a hot buffet for hotel guests. There is a fee ($12.95 for adults, $8.95 for children). The breakfast is unremarkable and similar to what many other hotel chains offer on a complimentary basis.

In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay at the Sebastian Hotel and would certainly stay again.

After a long day of travel mishaps it was wonderful to walk in to the smiling faces of the hotel staff. Bird who checked us in was amazing and chose the perfect room for our family. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff.

The second day we realized we should have brought my dads wheelchair because he already started looking tired and the days activities included a lot of walking. Michelle and Laura not only looked up mobility assistance options, but went above and beyond to help us.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, we had coffee at the café and Laura made us delicious macchiatos (and I’ll be going back again for some morning mimosas and poinsettias!

We come to St Augustine often and have stayed at many hotels throughout the years, but the Sebastian Hotel Radisson is by far our favorite and will be our new go to place to stay.

Bonus: they are extremely dog friendly and we were able to bring them and include them in our family vacation :)

We decided to make a stop in St. Augustine on our way back to North Georgia from attending a funeral of a very good friend in South Florida. It was a very difficult week for us and we wanted to just relax a little before heading home. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and it's staff. Laura and Russell was working the front desk when I was checking in and they were both so kind, friendly and considerate! Our room was incredibly clean and spacious. (There was even glass doors in the shower...no gross shower curtain. ) The beds were comfy and we slept well. The coffee and tea in the room was very good. We thoughly enjoyed our stay with them that we will be staying with them again...which will be in the near future. The location is just a few minutes from old Town plus they have a complimentary shuttle if you don't want to drive. The front lobby is very pleasant and the pool area very inviting. They do have a breakfast but since we don't eat breakfast, we did not try it but it sounded delicious. Again, Laura and Russell were great, as well as the other staff members. If I could give them 10 stars I would!! Thank you again, Laura and Russell...you made a difficult time very special to us.

Stayed here one night while in town on business. Rooms are very big and spacious, with a small fridge, microwave, complimentary waters and coffee/coffee pot (single serve). They also offer vouchers for 2 free drinks from noon to 10pm which includes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic which is a nice perk. Bathrooms are a bit small, but I guess the large living space makes up for it. They have a small pool and some rooms face the water. No complimentary breakfast - only paid options. Biggest issue was with the noise from the main road (Ponce De Leon) that went on ALL night long. Surprising since St. Augustine is not a very "nightlife" kind of place, and especially where this hotel is located. If you do stay here, definitely ask for a room no where near the street (I wasn't facing the street but it was close enough that I could easily hear the traffic all night).

Room tip: Avoid anything in proximity to the main road.
