We frequently include the Edgewater Inn in our travel plans to St. Agustine. the hospitality is unmatched by the chains and the evening wine get-together is a special time with a great view and friendly staff

Room Tip: get the water view

This was a cute hotel with some nice personal touches. The check in process was easy. We checked in on Christmas Day and we found a Christmas card and two Christmas cookies in our room. This was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space. They have a nice happy hour in the afternoon and also bottled water for the rooms. It was an easy walk across the bridge to downtown and the drive to the beach wasn't far either.

This was my third time staying there. I wrote another review back in 2015. I want to make the same point again as I made in 2015 in my previous review.... please get some curtains in your hotel. The bright lights shining in the room at night make it almost impossible to sleep. I would have given the hotel 5 stars if it had not been for this issue.

One other thing- we would have loved to upgrade to a waterfront room. When we checked in, the lady asked us if we wanted to upgrade. So we considered it until she told us it would be an additional $142 for 2 nights on top of the $286 that we had already paid. We checked in late afternoon- if the hotel wasn't sold out, why not offer your customers a reasonable upgrade fee of $20-$30 a night? Most other hotels do this, especially if there is plenty of availability.

Nice rooms. Superb view. Great staff! My husband and I really enjoyed our getaway. Convenient parking right outside your room's door. Nice view of the Bridge of Lions and historic St. Augustine. Breakfast was special too.

Located right across the bridge. Very clean and quiet. Not recommended for families with kids. Pets are not allowed. Complementary breakfast its impressive and delicious. Some staff were friendly and a particular one not so much towards us (not sure why) Overall great place to stay.

Room Tip: Standard rooms DONT have ocean view,

This hotel was a pleasant surprise from the first impression. Our room was quite spacious; Comfortable bed, large shower; muffin snacks in the lobby at check-in; bottled water; wine & snacks at 5pm; hearty hot breakfast; Keurig coffee maker in the room. But the best part was their customer service. I got food poisoning at a local restaurant and spent the night vomiting and then fainted, causing me to fall which put a huge gash in my forehead. This made a mess on their linens with blood and vomit. When requested, they immediately sent a housekeeper to clean our room while we were at the ER. They were caring and accommodating. The only negatives: no counter space in the bathroom and no table nearby to put our toiletries; and they would not allow us to check in early. They were fine with our parking there early however so we could walk back to town.

Room Tip: Waterfront rooms at an additional cost, but can sit outside for free.
