In today's dining experience it can be challenging to find a place that is healthy and affordable. The Hyppo Café that is located in a very unassuming strip mall is a great place for a families to go after church on Sunday, after a day of tennis in the sun with your friends, a quiet date, a business lunch, or an old friend catch up where you sit for hours. It is really a gem of a place. The music they play is not loud nor intense/hyper that would make you want to rush and eat fast. They never seem to want to rush you out of their restaurant and are happy helpful staff. Their salads, sandwiches and soups are fresh. Cookies and popsicles await you after you finish your meal to select your favorite. A very laid back and relaxing environment available to work or leisure. There is free WIFI too. Teas abound in selection. Family friendly and wheel chair friendly on the interior. A salad or sandwich will run you about $8-10 per person then add the cost of a drink if you do not opt for water. Would definitely like to see a more substantial amount of lettuce in the salad overall. Fresh fruit cups come with sandwiches or other sides. The breads are all fresh for the sandwiches and the lettuce also looks very vibrant. They deliver your meal to your table based on the number given at the cash register, you then take care of your own dishes to bus your own table. They are kind to help you with special orders with no trouble. A great place if your are out shopping at all the stores in the area too if you need a lunch break. Overall a great experience as had not been there in quite awhile, good to see the changes and improvements. Popular spot among friends. Picnic table outside if you prefer sitting in the sun or have a dog that can not come indoors. Great choice off the beaten path of downtown, and also nice to support a local restaurant instead of chain.
