This was our first trip to St Augustine. The trip started out pretty bad, we were booked at another hotel and the place was so terrible that we asked for our money back . When we started looking for another hotel we quickly found out that there were none. Until we got to the Hilton Bayfront, when the staff heard what we had already been through they booked us into the King luxury bayfront view at a very reasonable price. The room was amazing and the staff was very kind and helpful. I had absolutely no complaints. The hotel saved our anniversary trip . I would reccommend this hotel and difinitely stay again

Room Tip: The luxary King is fabulous and very quiet

Deciding to stay in St. Augustine after what was going to be a day visit resulted in us finding this very nice hotel. Right in Old Town it is within easy walking distance to just about everything. The room was nice with a view of the bay from the balcony and service was prompt. Not cheap but not overpriced either for the area and location.

We stayed here on our final night in the Southern States. First impression, looks worn and in need of refurbishment. We used the valet parking at the hotel and found out from the omelette chef at breakfast that the road in front of the hotel would be closed because of the St Patrick's Day parade, he was not sure from what time but thought 10am. We were slightly worried as we would have to use that road to get out of St Augustine as we had to catch a flight back to Europe via Jacksonville in the early afternoon. My husband went to check with reception as no one had mentioned anything to us at check in the previous afternoon. It transpired the road was closed from 9:30 and by that time it was 9:10am. We had not finished breakfast , had to pack and check out in a hurry! We were going to complain to the manager but due to timing had to rush off before we were stuck. At $400 a night we would have thought they could have warned us about the road closure as we would have liked to take our time and relax on the last morning of our holiday. We would not stay here again.

Room Tip: We were worried that our choice of a bayfront room was a mistake as it fronts the busy highway but w...

Our room was a king room with a balcony overlooking the bay and hotel pool. The furnishings and decor in the room were very pleasing and the shower was huge - the jetted tub was actually in the room itself. The complimentary wifi was fast and easy to use. The staff were very friendly. The hotel dining room (Aviles) is quite small, but they do have an outside dining area. The dinner and breakfast we ate there were both very tasty and attractively prepared and the service was attentive. The hotel is well situated in the downtown area and within walking distance of Old Town and the shopping streets. There is valet parking only.

We were reluctant to book in due to trip advisor reviews. Luckily we poked our heads in and were charmed by the attentivness of the staff and the ambience of the hotel lobby. We asked to look at a couple of rooms and they couldn't have been more helpful. The first room we viewed was overlooking the bay and was immaculate and spotlessly clean. We dined out but sat having a few drinks in the lobby bar before bedtime. We had a lovely visit and would definately visit again. The valet parking and concierge service was an excellent find for the area. they couldn't have been more helpful.
Thanks for a great stay and all your local knowledge advice.

I was disappointed in this Hilton, The room had dated furniture that was not too confortable, the room was small, the toilet flusher had to be held down for the toilet to completely flush, only one bath towell and no wash clothes at check in. I called down to request the items and after 30 minutes no one had arrived. When we went out to diner we stopped by the front desk to ask again and had to wait for the front desk clerk to finish texting beofre she acknowledged our presence. She replied, " I know we'll ahve the night turn-down lady provide the towel and wash cloths". No I'm sorry, we'll be sure to get some up to you, no since of urgency at all. This is an old hotel and apparently the service has declined like the furnishings. You could do better for the money somewhere else.

Room Tip: This hotel is ideally located but you have to pay for valet parking service.

This is my favorite hotel in St Augustine and here is why:

1) LOCATION-- I freaking LOVE this hotel for its convenient location in the historic district. It is steps (LITERALLY) from all of the highlights of this beautiful area. The fort is just across the street (maybe a football field or two away) and the awesome shops and restaurants of St George Street and the other historic district streets are just outside of the hotel doors!

2) ACCOMMODATIONS-- I am a huge Hilton fan and stay in one of their many brands on my business travels each week. This hotel is a favorite for me because it combines all of the luxury and conveniences I have come to appreciate when I stay at a Hilton with the charm of a St Augustine bed and breakfast. The furnishings have a great old world charm that make the room accommodations feel very warm and luxurious (see my pics attached with this review).

3) THE VIEWS!-- If you get a bayfront view (request it, it is worth it!), you can enjoy a relaxing evening on the balcony or a lovely morning watching the sunrise. It's amazing.

4) AWESOME STAFF-- The front desk staff are super nice and can give you great tips about nice places to eat and visit in the area. They are all always so willing to bend over backwards to make your visit a pleasant experience.

Other things to know about this hotel:

-- Parking is a bit pricey but, since there aren't a lot of cheap parking alternatives in St Augustine, it is nice to at least have a safe place to valet your vehicle during your trip and the valet staff are very kind, professional, and make getting your vehicle in-and-out a piece of cake. (NOTE: You won't need it out much at all though because almost everything of interest is in walking distance anyway! We only checked our vehicle out to hit the beach for the day. :-)

-- Save your pennies and use HHonors points! I will admit that this hotel is more than what I usually pay for vacation accommodations, but if you save up your Hilton HHonors points (membership is free), you can get a free night for 50,000 points. Don't have HHonors points? Then, use the "flexible dates" option when looking for a time to visit St Augustine. I have seen the rates as low as $159 for this hotel which is TOTALLY reasonable for the quality of the accommodations.

-- Breakfast is yummy but I recommend skipping the expensive breakfast buffet offered for other great options in the area. I have had the hotel's breakfast buffet and, while it was good, it wasn't worth $18 per person. I got it free for being a Hilton Gold member, but would have been disappointed if I paid that much when there are LOTS of other wonderful breakfast options in the area (such as Athena's Greek Restaurants awesome french toast just around the corner!!!).

This hotel is wonderful and will really make your stay in St Augustine super enjoyable! Trust me, as a Flagler College alum who returns at least once a year to revisit my alma mater, this is my favorite place to stay! Feel free to message me if you want ideas of fun things to do in St Augustine! I'm happy to help!

Room Tip: Ask for a bayfront room upon arrive-- sometimes a free upgrade may be available!
