Belinda, Gina, and Jennifer are so great, loved talking with them. Loved sitting on our porch watching the ships and birds and jumping fish. So clean, bed so comfy and the breakfast was made by a chef, so delicious and every days menu was different, and plentiful. THIS is the place to stay, better than perfect. We stayed 5 nights.

We came here by boat for a birthday getaway and used the marina. Very nice floating docks are located right in front of the hotel with plenty of water depth.
The hotel is impeccably clean and the staff is super friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Nothing but praise for this little gem. We’ll be back.

My wife and I visited St Augustine Florida for the first time at the end of April and chose to stay at the Marker 8. What a great choice this was. First it's located at the base of the bridge that leads into St Augustine with beautiful views of the marina and St Augustine both during the day and at night. It's an extremely clean place and very modern. We had a second floor balcony room with great views of the marina and St augustine. They have a happy hour every day from 5:00 to 6:00 with great hors d'oeuvres and reasonably priced wines. They also have a daily breakfast that's included in the cost of your stay with the ability to buy up if you want to. Men use change on both the happy hour and breakfast lists daily which is really nice for diversity. The staff is great especially Jessica. They are so friendly and attentive. It's an easy walk over the bridge if you want to do that into downtown St Augustine proper or you can call for an Uber too. There's also great restaurants on that side of the bridge like the Odd Bird and you're only about 5 minutes from the beach towns of St Augustine Beach which were wonderful. I would highly recommend the Marker 8 it's a great place to stay, quiet and Serene, if you're in St Augustine

The hotel has been renovated and is very attractive. However, if you expect to get a good nights sleep you should avoid it. They still use wall air conditioners and it is impossible to sleep with it running! I even wear ear plugs at night and could not drown out the noise. Fortunately the evenings cooled down so we could open the sliding door and turn that noisy unit off.
The staff is pleasant, but are unable to acknowledge their mistake to the guest. The morning of our last night at the hotel I approached the maid to get a couple of bottles of water to fill our water bottles for the day. She asked my room number, which I gave her. When we returned to our room in the early evening we found she had not cleaned our room. We complained to the front desk that night, but they did nothing about it. Upon checking out we requested an accommodation for this lack of service and Gina said she would have to review with the “owner” as she did not have any authority to satisfy the guest. Gina tells us the maid told her we did not want the room cleaned. That is not the truth and their lack of concern for a guest that has paid for 4 nights at their hotel is unacceptable.
