Very well maintained motel with clean spacious rooms, comfortable bed, refrigerator/microwave, free wifi & sitting area with large flatscreen TV. Free continental breakfast in a nice lobby area. Under 2 miles from the Old downtown Fort Castillo area. Staff very friendly & helpful. Pool on property & red line tour bus directly behind them for easy shuttle back & forth. Would recommend & stay here again.

Room Tip: 2 floors unsure if there is an elevator to 2cd floor. Good restaurant on property too.

I really like the room, kind of a retro vibe, spacious. The staff were awesome, Josh was so helpful and gracious putting up with me and my friend! And when I could not figure out the coffee pot, well that was funny.! The front desk staff were so helpful. The story of the inn and the restaurant was very interesting and I wish them continued success!

We requested a room suitable for a disabled guest. Our ground floor room was ideal. It was very quiet. It had 2 queen beds which were very comfortable. The room was clean and had all we wanted and needed. The staff were very helpful. The bathroom was well adapted to meet all our needs with chair in shower, firm rails for support and very easy controls in the shower. A fridge and microwave was provided in the room, plus plenty of storage facilities. The location was ideal, easy to find on S-16. We were able to walk from the hotel to the Visitor Centre in 20 minutes. We would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Always request an adapted room if you need that.

Our beautifully appointed room had all the amenities you could wish for including free internet service. The inn itself was within easy walking distance of many of the attractions that we wanted to visit. And, after a long day of touring, you can always take a shuttle back "home" for a well-deserved rest...until the next day!

St Augustine has a lot of charming independent lodging options, as well as the larger chain Hotels also represented. We chose Jaybird's for the central location and level of amenities. We elected to get the Suite. It was large as expected, but appeared even more spacious with the configuration there. The Hotel has to be a few decades old but has been tastefully modernized as far as lights and decor. I thought it had a modern retro flavor with the dark ebony-ish tile floor and predominantly white walls. The bed was so comfortable, my wife insisted we get them to ship it to our home. The Hotel itself is central as mentioned, and it appears to be on a Tram or Trolley stop for history tourists. We did not use the Trolley, but it is there. We loved it. The parking was adequate, walk to things, (stores, Restaurants, etc) and the Staff were professional.
