My husband and I went to the Destin area for the first time and stayed at the Hilton. We got a king bed beachview room. Our room #538 was located in the Spa Tower. The term beachview is somewhat misleading. It was actually a pool view with the beach behind it. Our room was located right next to the elevator and the vending machine/ice machine area. It was noisy. When we called the front desk with our concerns they offered to move us to the Emerald Tower the next day. After unpacking we decided not to move, seemed like more of a hassle to move and re-pack. The room itself was nice and spacious. The bed was surprisingly pretty comfortable but the pillows were terrible. Breakfast was included with our stay. It was a buffet and nothing really special. The first morning we had breakfast everything was cold but the second time we tried it was better. The beach chairs are expensive but worth it. $42.80 for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella from 11-5. You just have to claim your chairs by 11:00, they don't hold the reservations after that. The nice steakhouse in the hotel had some strange hours and were not open every evening. We did not have the opportunity to dine there. We liked the location of the hotel. Be sure to check out Baytown Wharf right across the street - super cute little village of restaurants and shops!

This Hotel is an extremely unique destination , sits on the Gulf of Mexico with powder white sands and emerald green water . ( I mean it) no Sea Shells to bruise your feet . The property has three pools .two out and one inside . Four restaurants , two beachy , one dressy and one 5 star . The staff is extremely helpful and the Hotel has improved its cleanlyness .
If I have one down side it is the pools and deck are not cleaned every morning . I hate to see hair and stuff in drains and left over food and drink on the decks . I have been coming to Sandestin for years and love this place , the food is great and the rooms are very large . Most have fridge ,microwaves , two flat panel Tv's , coffee makers , bunk beds , couch and sitting area. Two outlet malls within 6 miles and many many restaurants all over the place . There is really to much to do and see a really enjoyable place .The Manager is really great and sees that everything is improving daily .The front desk will do all they can to help early check-ins for Honor members (and I mean it ).

Room Tip: Spend the money and get a pool view or beach view , you won't be dissapointed .Join the Hilton Honor program

Just spent one night here, but could have spent a week. There were bunk beds with a cute port hole for the kids and there own wall mounted T.V. There was plenty of room for the pack n play too. Huge Room. We ordered room service as the hotel was super crowded. The pool was very nice and morning buffet was excellent. Nothing bad to say about this hotel. The hotel was right on the beach so that was very convenient. You really never need to leave the hotel. They have everything you need for a nice beach getaway. Sometimes you really get what you pay for! It was worth it!

Room Tip: We had a beach facing room with bunk beds. Huge!! Could of fit 2 families in there!

After coming to the Destin area many times for work over the last year, I decided I needed to get my young family down to Sandestin for a weekend get away before winter sets in back home. We chose the Hilton Sandestin and we are SO GLAD we did. We have two young kids 2-1/2 and 4-1/2 so we needed a resort that had not only great beach but also a property with amenities that allows a family to be comfortable all the time. We didn't leave the property for any meals. The food was great and the variety as well. And if you prefer to eat outside for not only for the fresh air but so your kids can be a little more free, they will box up your meal "to go" and you can go anywhere you want.

The staff was great and the property was in good condition. The rooms are very spacious and the suites have bunk beds for the kids away from the main room with their own TV so you can still have mommy and daddy time.....genius!!! And then there is the beach....simply amazing. The sand is like powdered sugar and the water remains knee deep a good 50 yds out so small kids can enjoy it without being intimidated. We go to our condo in Grand Cayman ever Spring and this beach is every bit as good as 7 mile beach in Cayman and a lot closer!

We will definitely be back!!! Well done Hilton!

My family and i have been going to the Hilton Sandestin for the past 25 years, since I was just a child, and i always have fond memories of our time spent here. Now were alll grown up (in our 20's and 30's) we recently returned for a family vacation with our parents and its better than ever now! the Hilton is so beautiful, and right on the beach. The rooms are huge and in many rooms there is a separate bunk bed for little kids. the pool area is second-to-none. the deck is expansive and extends right out to the sand, so its not a far walk at all from sand to the tip of the ocean. and with so much to do here, you could stay for days and do something different everyday. there is a steak/seafood restaurant called Seagar's (a bit pricey but would be great for a birthday or anniversary, Hidashi- a sushi restaurant, and Barefoots, an outdoor restaurant where you can sit and have a meal (even in your swimsuit or cover-up!) or you can simply walk up from the beach and straight up to the bar and order a delicious drink. Here at Barefoots, the Bloody Mary's are amazing, plus they have a great selection of frozen and mixed tropical drinks. Come stay at the Hilton and enjoy the sun and sand!!
