Location was not what we expected, but that’s our fault. Room is clean - check in staff subpar, he didn’t offer to explain any of the hotel amenities, like the pool, etc. Not friendly or welcoming! Water was cold in the shower and we don’t have enough towels. Thank goodness we’re only here one night! One and done! Definitely below standards for Courtyard Marriott.

First time in Destin, chose this hotel because of the recently renovated rooms. When we got in the room and went on our balcony there wasps and a nest. Called the front desk, but no one came up at all during our stay to get rid of it. The beds were very comfy, the bathroom was nice and clean. But when room service came all she did was give us a few sets of towels and changed the trash. We asked her if she would sweep the floor which was sandy from our day at the beach but she said no, no English. There is only 1 elevator in the hotel. Had to wait for a long time every time we took the elevator. Can't believe there are 5 floors and inly 1 elevator. The towels in the pool area were never replenished. We ran out of towels for our room one day and the front desk said they were all out of towels until 4pm (it was 1pm), at 5pm there were still no towels. So we went back to the front desk and another person said they had been delivered at 1pm- which they hadn't been. Service at the caf'e/bistro was so slow- truly unacceptable. The workers moved around like breakfast snails. We were leaving to go to the airport, ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, waited 5 minutes, went up to the worker and asked her how much longer it would be. She said- a few minutes. We waited another 15 minutes before having to leave (without the sandwiches). Would have liked to have happy hour drinks, but the service was so slow we didn't even bother.

The hotel appears clean and the staff is courteous. Their bistro/bar disappoints. Overpriced and tables are rarely cleaned or sanitized. The location is within walking distance of good food and shopping. If you're looking for public beach access you should plan on at least a 15 to 20 min drive in what has proven to be insane amounts of traffic. If you need a place to stay while traveling this will do. If you want a place to stay while you enjoy your trip here then make sure basic accommodations is all you require. There is a pool and hot tub and fitness center.

Lifetime Platinum Elite Member. Booked the hotel on a business trip because rates were within limits. The hotel lobby smells like urine. I have waited 5+ hours for anyone to come check on Television that I told the front desk didn’t work shortly after check in. Won’t be back to this property again.

Hotel needs some updating, hallway rugs were disgusting. Our bathroom was not clean, sand in the sink and tub. As titanium elite they claimed there were no upgrades available. Front desk staff were borderline rude. Also some weird rule where bicycles were not allowed inside yet no where did it say that on the website or reservation.
Will not stay there again. So many other options.
