Park at one of the hotels on Middle Gulf Drive (Sundial) and walk this peaceful area. Great place to enjoy the day end sunset!

We recently rented bikes while we were visiting Sanibel Island. If you ride all the way back from the rental shop to the easternmost point there is a light house on the point. Not your typical beacon containing structure but one I️ assume that can withstand hurricanes. Parking for bikes is free as opposed to 4/5$ per hour for cars. A short stroll from the light house is a beach that offers views of Fort Myers and on a hot day a sea breeze.

This lighthouse is located at the tip of the island. There is a large parking lot. There is a $4.00 minimum charge and that is for an hour, It is well worth the cost. As you approach from the beach you will see the lighthouse standing proudly. Beautiful.

Still standing tall and offering boaters a beacon for more than 100 years. Worth the walk to the most eastern end of Sanibel Island followed by a side trip over to the Fishing Pier on the opposite side of the lighthouse point to see what is the Catch of the Day for fishermen big and small.
