Parking is a nightmare, no other way to put it, then again we visited on Easter so maybe that contributed to the 30+ minutes it took us to get lucky and find a spot. they need more parking!!! lol it also is not cheap compared to other Florida beaches, $5 per hour, get ya wallet ready, other than that, nice facilities there, bathrooms, changing rooms...kayak access..etc -- I don't agree that this is "the best beach in Florida" its okay. it does have the best facilities I've seen, water is not as blue and clear as other Florida beaches but it was pretty calm and good for swimming.

We spent two days on this beach and it was perfect. Clean sand to setup on, tons of shells for the kids to dig through, bathrooms not far away and a long shallow sandbar not far from the edge. Light waves on the days we were there and wasn’t crowded at all. Yes, it’s $5 an hour to park but for how open the beach is it’s worth it. Pack a lunch and drinks because there isn’t anything to walk to for food.

you can swim in the light waves together with pelicans and with dolphins, usually between 11 and 13 they come very close to the beach, sometimes even like 3-4 meters next to you if you swim.

If riding bikes, you can ride to beach entrance - you don't need to leave your bikes in the parking lot. There are nice restrooms, drinking fountains with filtered water for water bottles, and a soda vending machine. There are picnic tables available as well.

Bowman's Beach is a lovely beach. I was absolutely blown away by how clean and warm the sand was. The waves were calm and were perfect for swimming and snorkeling. If you are in the Fort Myers area, making the trip to Bowman's Beach is an absolute must.
