We stayed in the middle A-Fame cottage at this small roadside motel. It was a clean and quiet 2 bd 1 bath unit, had a stocked kitchen, ceiling fans, and comfy furniture. The pool was nice, there was onsite laundry, and they supplied towels/chairs/etc for trips to the beach. Linda and Nicole were helpful, accommodating, and pleasant. There was plenty of parking, and they even have bike rentals on site. The place is vintage and comfortable; we loved it.

This was our first visit to Sanibel and the Anchor. Both were great. The Inn is centrally located which is perfect since a bicycle is the preferred method of transport. Linda at the desk made us feel very welcome and helped alot with dinner recommendations. We will definitly come back to both Sanibel and the Anchor. Thanks guys.

This is our main go-to on the island as the price is awesome and location superb. Very clean rooms, great service when you need it and you can ask for whatever and more than likely they will have it to help you out (hair dryer, iron and board etc.) They have sand buckets, little shovels, beach towels, chairs and other things to help that you then don't need to buy. Pool and deck awesome and chairs in sun and shade. There are only showers in rooms and they could possibly use de-humidifiers for #18 as it was slightly humid smelling even after returning home with suitcase and everything inside. Having lived in FL this could be a help since the small AC unit did not help with this but overall we will return again. You can bike and walk pretty much everywhere from this location and parking is mostly in shade. They also have picnic tables, grills and will loan you silverwear if needed when having leftovers.

Room Tip: Depends on size of travelling party as to what room is good for your group

We stayed in cottage #20 over Christmas. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept. Linda is the perfect hostess. Whatever you need she makes sure you have. They supply beach chairs and towels. (Beach toys for those with young ones) good places to eat within walking distance. Would recommend this place and would stay here again.

Wife and I spent one night here recently. Nothing fancy but everything was well taken care of especially for its age. It was a quick drive to most of the beaches. If you take the time to read the other reviews, it is a nice place for what it is, if you expect the Ritz than you should probably book a room at the Ritz. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
