Food was excellent and service was same. The room was perfect. Everyone in our group felt it was the best dining experience they had in Sarasota.

We went last Friday night for an early dinner prior to going to a performance at the Van Wezel. Our waiter, Timmy, was very welcoming and assured us we would be out in plenty of time to make the show. First off, a very pretty...restaurant with a great patio (we sat inside because it was very cool but we'll definitely go back in warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor patio). There was a very good selection of wines at reasonable prices for both glasses and full bottles. We shared a mussel appetizer which was very good. My husband had the scallops with vegetable risotto. I had a grilled pork chop with roasted mixed veg and the risotto. Both dishes were excellent. Too full for dessert, we paid up and were on our way to the theater with time to spare. Highly recommend Rosemary and Thyme, we'll be going back!More
Love love love Well traveled 55 yo- this place blew my socks off- Literally OFF! From the unpretentious table settings to the divers scallops - what more could I desire?? Diagnosed celiac- I ate like a Baroness : please order dessert and espresso martinis!
Beautiful dinner as usual. The fish was perfect — one cooked to the chef’s preference and one to my preference and both were cooked perfectly. The dining rooms are beautiful and the service is friendly and professional. This place never disappoints.
Quite simply the nicest neighborhood restaurant in Sarasota. The owner George is very attentive and caring for his customers and his team. Indoor and outdoor dining with live music makes it so endearing. The food is always consistently excellent and the bar pours great heavy...drinks! We keep coming back week and after and are never disappointed. Easy free street parking and the ease of reservations all make this a no brainer. There are some restaurants you go to for special occasions only - then there are those like rosemary and thyme that you just want to go to enjoy every week! Do yourself a favor and make this restaurant a key part of your regular dining plans!More
We went for a Jimmy Buffet evening and it was great . Was not expecting to be able to sit outside as there had been a lot of rain but they cleaned it up quickly. The whole thing was excellent, great cocktails , food great...and perfect service by Benjamin . The price was unbelievable, $25 for three courses . We will be back .More
Rosemary & Thyme in Sarasota, Florida, advertises itself as "an American bistro with a sophisticated international flair." With its several intimate dining rooms and patio and a delicious menu that covers everything from chowder to rarely found osso bucco to Florida's signature key lime pie,...my wife and I view it more fondly as a comfortable old-time supper club. Located at 511 North Orange Street, north of Fruitville Road, several blocks from the city's popular Restaurant Row, it is open from 4:30 to 9 Tuesday through Friday and 9 to 2:30 and 4:30 to 9 on Saturday and Sunday. Love the dinner hour and the evening atmosphere. We started with Bermuda fish chowder with whitefish, tomato base, black rum and sherry pepper sauce, oven-baked escargot served with house crostini and lemon wedge and Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, reggiano, croutons and house dressing. For her entree, my half-Italian wife chose one of her favorites, pork osso bucco, which is spelled differently and found rarely on restaurant menus, slow braised pork drizzled in a porcini-pinot noir demi-glace and served with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. One of the best versions she has ever tasted. Meanwhile, I opted for a 12-ounce espresso rubbed ribeye of beef, also served with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. For dessert, we shared a large slice of key lime pie and a portion of banana pudding, two Florida favorites prepared with a sophisticated southern flair.More
This place does an amazing job with marketing and being part of the local community, which we love. We went on one of their special "date nights" where the menu is three courses for a set price. Very good value for the money and the...place was full of locals from around the city. The building it is located in is a like a remodelled old house and was lovely. The service was very friendly and helpful (five stars on service for sure). The food was nice, but not exceptional. Overall, a nice dinner out. We will be back.More
We enjoyed dinner here - there a nice cocktail bar and loads of indoor seating but it was packed on a Thursday night. We ate outside, very nice large patio area in a fenced in area. We chose the $40 three course menu - lots...to choose from and a nice touch is each dish came out on random English china. Wine list needs some work. Service was fast and attentive - we will come back.More
Menu: lots of interesting choices. Appetizers: the Bermuda Fish Chowder was adequate, but the Crab au Gratin was outstanding. Dinner: Pork Osso Buco was huge and promising but disappointing in minimal marrow. I was hesitant about the Swordfish Damasco but instruction to the waiter on...my preferences when I ordered were appropriately carried out and delivered. Enjoyed every mouthful! Dessert: the flour-less chocolate "cake" was outstanding, the cheese cake very good. Wine choices: good but for some reason all the Pinot Noirs are domestic. Service: friendly, helpful and attentive.More
As you open the entrance door you know you are at a good place. The greeting; the ambiance; the aroma are all welcoming. The offerings were well balanced. The food was plated very well. Of course the preparation was excellent and quality tasted top notch....As you can read, the three of us enjoyed our dinner.More
We're happy to hear you enjoyed your experience! It was a pleasure serving you, and we hope to serve you again soon!
Had a nice lunch here with a large group of ladies. Service was friendly and efficient. I had a lamb chop topped salad - which was tasty.
We had a group of 15 show up on fairly short notice. The establishment was very accommodating allowed us to sit where we wanted table layouts as we requested food came out hot fresh and tasty.
I rarely rate a restaurant 5 star unless it is exceptional. This restaurant was exceptional. The food excellent, all four entrees. The portions are large and were perfectly cooked. Service was very good and made sure our dinners were cooked the way we wanted them...right from the beginning. There is a nice outdoor patio as well as inside dining in a very homey atmosphere. Prices are high, $45 pris fix if you want an appetizer, entree and dessert. Otherwise entrees run about $30 to $50. The quality is worth it.More
We hosted a table of six for Easter brunch. Three of the guest ordered the Eggs Benedict with Lobster/Crab Cake, probably the most expensive items on the brunch menu. Two of those order were served with the eggs (very) hard-boiled. Can you imagine? But wait,...it gets worse. As our other guests ate, the faulty items were returned to the kitchen. When they came back, the yolks were indeed runny, and the eggs were under-cooked to the point that the whites were slimy. Perhaps worst of all, they were served over the original English muffins that by this time had grown soggy/saturated. We left, with $300 of regret. Overall an unacceptably horrible experience.More
