“Needs a major renovation”
Reviewed March 30, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I've stayed at Eastern Shores many times in the past 15 years and have been very happy with the accommodations until now. Despite the fact that there is no elevator, the location on the gulf is superb. However condo 215, which is located on the 3rd floor is awful. The furniture seems to be from the 70's along with the kitchen cabinets and appliances. The sofa was so worn and uncomfortable we had to use our bed pillows to sit on it, otherwise it felt like we were sitting on a rock. One of the reasons we rent condos when we come to Seagrove is to be able to cook. There kitchen was not well-equipped. The blender and toaster looked to be about 20 years old and purchased from a neighborhood garage sale. The cabinets were old and scratched up and the dishes/pots/pans we did try to use required a good washing before using them. The bathrooms were outdated and the vanities barely came up to my hips and I am short! For the money, this is not a good value. If you want to stay at this complex, DO NOT STAY IN 215!!!! I would stay next door at the Commodore's Retreat. It is much nicer.
