I always love new adventures and look for places off the beaten bath. Steinhatchee River Inn fits that perfectly. My husband and I have a boat and wanted to find a place that we could go scalloping. We were able to park our boat on property, which was a nice convenience. They are pet friendly, so we were able to bring our dogs. The dogs loved it. After a long day of scalloping, we really enjoyed swimming in the pool and cooking our scallops on the grill. There is a nice grilling area with picnic tables. Our room had a kitchen which had all of the necessities. There is also a grocery store close by that we were able to pick up a few things. We were only there two nights and went to Hungry Howies for dinner, which was good. I did see there were a few other restaurants close by. The room was super clean & cozy. The staff was very friendly. We would like to return again next year for scallop season or just to go fishing. It was a very pleasurable experience.

Room tip: We had a room with a kitchen that was very nice.

We stopped in the area on the recommendation of a friend. Cute little fishing town with many dining options. A seafood lover's dream. The hotel was perfect for our family of five. Two beds and a couch. Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Great water pressure, too (which isn't always the case for older hotels). Kids loved the pool and the big flat screen TVs. Staff was super friendly, a cute young lady checked us in, and another young man helped us with our luggage, pretty sure it's family owned and operated, which I love. Highly recommend.

Room tip: If you have a lot of luggage, request the first floor!

We weren't expecting this. Its an older place but quaint and very clean, I liked it And the dog liked it.. Its in small fishing town very quiet and comfortable with a swinging bench out side. Very relaxing place. Not much to do there but who cares. I Would like to stay there for more then one night.

Unfortunately i did not feel good the night we stopped here. Our room was clean, but antiquated, as you might expect in a fishing village. We were right across from where the boats docked, and just a quarter mile from a couple of nice places to eat. (Sleeping was good - I went to bed at 6:30 and got up at 8:30 the next morning, feeling a bit better.) My wife went and got dinner from Fiddlers and enjoyed the mahi-mahi, although I couldn't eat anything. I was looking forward to this night on our trip to Disney World, but couldn't enjoy it. Anyway, we drove around the area in the morning before heading south; it looked like a great place to walk around and enjoy. Maybe we will get a chance to try it again.

Room tip: All the rooms are about the same on a single level. Parking is right in front of the room.

Thank you for staying at the Steinhatchee River Inn. Please come back again now that you are feeling better, you can walk to Fiddlers and enjoy the vast stars, try some great fishing or enjoy a nature walk. In the winter, we have a relaxing fire pit.

Nice hotel. Each room has a large setting area with flat screen TV, hallway leading into the bedroom also with a flat screen TV. Pool was open and in good condition although we did not use it. One restaurant within walking distance but several others in town.
