When we arrived the door was locked and a sign was posted that tours were given on the hour and a guided tour was necessary to see the house. We went back for the next hourly tour, rang the bell, and were warmly welcomed and invited in to first view an interesting video and observe a timeline and pictures on the wall. From there we had our own privately guided tour of the rooms of the home. Admission was free but donations are requested at the end of the tour. Days and tour hours are limited. Closed Sun,. Mon., and Tues.

My sister and I came to Tallahassee to check out the historical sites. This was one of my favorite. The tourguide was very knowledgeable about the house and the era as well. We could tell that she really loves this house and obviously her job. I wish every tour was like this was. Thanks very much!! I encourage others to visit if they haven't. Jean Johnson

If you love turn-of the-century styles, homes, art, etc., you will enjoy the Knott House Museum!! Everything in the home is just as the Knott family left it. A rare glimpes into the lives of some very interesting people. Especially the wife and mother, Luella. Not too often do you read poetry to someones furniture!! You willnot be disappointed, especially when you see the photo of one of the past residents who can't quite make up his mind to leave!!! Fear Knott!!!
