Great Saturday dinner, food was excellent and very authentic to what we have had in Spain. Excellent service and a fantastic Spanish guitarist playing to make it feel like you’re actually in Spain...don’t hesitate in visiting

My wife and I ate dinner at the Spain Restaurant & Toma Bar while at a conference in Tampa. It was our last night there, and we wanted to treat ourselves to something nice. Eating at Spain was a home run choice.

Everything about this place was fantastic. We went on a Tuesday, which just happens to be half-price tapas night. There were about 8 choices of half-price tapas, plus the full menu. We selected several from both, and each one was out of this world delicious. The only thing that stopped us from eating more was getting gorged on five plates we ate.

Drinks were expertly made as well, and the service was the absolute best.

Topping it off was live music of a Spanish tone. It was relaxing and pleasant, and we stayed a few extra minutes to soak it in.

We would go back in a heartbeat if we lived in Tampa. First-rate.

Quite unassuming atmosphere, food was great, Spanish guitarist was a plus. Weekends are jammed so make reservations. It's a must repeat on my list.

Food was good but service was poor. Place wasn't very busy so was surprised. Ordered paella, and they put it on a plate instead of serving it from the pan. You miss all the crunchy rice on the bottom that way, so was slightly disappointed in that presentation. Asked for the check, and it took about 10 minutes to get it (had to flag down another server). Not sure what happened to my server.

We had been to a movie at the newly renovated TAMPA Theatre and it was suggested that we walk over to Spain for dinner. Since we rarely go to downtown Tampa we had never been there before but what a pleasant surprise.
We started with a pitcher of sangria. Then we had beef empanadas and shrimp in a butter lemon sauce.
My wife and I split a salad and a main course of Chicken Villaroy with yellow rice.
All in all it was a delicious meal and quite reasonable on price at $50 before tip and that includes drinks appetizers and a main course.
We would definitely recommend the food and as a plus, there was also a live trio playing Spanish music.
