“A Cat's Haven”
Reviewed 25 February 2012

Appreciate what BCR has done for mistreated and mishandled cats. I was saddened, and shocked at the places some of these cats have come from. I cannot understand what kind of person would EVER think it's normal to have a large cat as a pet. BCR has stepped up to take on the care for these mistreated, misplaced beautiful creatures. The VOLUNTEERS are VERY knowledgeable about each cat. They have provided a safe haven and see to it that these cats get the ADEQUATE care they need. I LOVE what BCR stands for. Glad they exist to take big cats off of stupid people! It's reasonably priced, great for families and educational. Please help support BCR.

“Big Cats and Big Fun”
Reviewed 25 February 2012

Ok... First, many of the negative reviews here are complete fabrications. The staff is friendly and informative. The cats are well cared for, and treated humanely. No one was turned away. It seems that Big Cat Rescue has made some enemies from the local competition that are using big cats for breeding, performance, and profit.

We took the feeding tour. Its a bit pricey, but really worth it. Our tour guide was informative and passionate about her job. Tigers were eating within 2 to 3 feet from us. We got to see several cougars, lynx, bob cats, lions, and other ones I cannot spell or pronounce.

This is amazing and recommend it for everyone. Check the website first, especially those with families.

“One of World's Best”

Hidden away near Citrus Park is this serious final home for BIG cats. A professional staff with a professional attitude. You can even spend the night surrounded by the cats ... if you are really into safari.

“4th visit and my teenager still gets thrilled”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

Tours by reservation so make sure to go online ahead of time. We have been visiting BCR for the past 8 years and get a thrill everytime. The cats are so beautiful and well cared for but the education opportunity is still priceless. With all the stories and tales of each cat, you know that they are loved. Bring your older kids (there is an age limit for different tours so make sure to check their site beforehand.) The tour is 1.5 hours and the gift shop is very tasteful.

“EXCELLENT”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

This attraction doesnt look like much when you first arrive, but WOW. Knowledgeable guides, informative and interesting. Probably loved most by "cat lovers" but an excellent place to see lions, tigers and other big cats. They do great work - stop by, visit and help them with their noble cause.
Check their website as they only do visits on some Saturdays for families with kids 10 and under.
